Kenwood Citrus Juicer

admittedly i just bought this yesterday but have juiced an entire crate of oranges so far with no problem. the 60w motor worked wonderfully, not hesitating as i applied more pressure (like my past purchases). each half orange took approximately 5-7 seconds to juice entirely. the container is easily removable from the base so i can go straight from juicing to serving. all parts are super easy to clean and the strainer is large enough that, even though i juiced that many oranges, i didn't have to stop and dump the pulp even once. the only down side is that you have to keep your thumb on the metal strainer's tab as you pour. a small inconvenience for me to even fuss about.

The 60W motor just isn't enough for effective juicing. When trying to juice a 1.8L jug of orange juice, the motor constantly stops when met with 'too much' resistance and gets worse and worse as the motor gets hotter and hotter. It makes juicing anything but the ripest oranges a real pain and takes nearly a minute per half orange. Worse still is that when the motor gets very hot, the jug of juice is right above it, which starts heating up your juice to a not-so-ideal temperature. Furthermore, the motor also gives off a burning-plastic smell after juicing for 20mins, which becomes intolerable. The overall concept is good, the maintenance is excellent, however, the juicer is just not powerful enough. Stay away!
