This timepiece from the Nighthawk series by Luminox exudes elegance. The black monochrome color scheme makes this the perfect addition to any mans wardrobe. The easy-to-read Luminox Mens Black Ops watch glows 100 times brighter than other luminous watches, making it the perfect timepiece for low-light or non-light situations. This timepiece is constructed with a stainless steel, 50-millimeter case, a durable stainless steel band with fold-over clasp and safety mechanism, and an antireflective-sapphire dial window, perfect for late-night escapades. White Arabic numerals adorn the classic black dial face, while the black stainless steel bezel is unidirectional, textured, and adorned with white minute indexes for easy readability. Smaller white numbers inside the dial mark the standard 24-hour clock and a date calendar rests at the three o'clock position. Powered by analog-quartz movement, this watch is preferred by US Navy SEALs and US Air Force Pilots, and is water resistant to a depth of 660 feet. Length adjusts by having links removed.

Very Satisfied
I decided to wait for a couple of months of use before providing a review of the Luminox 6402 EVO F-117 Watch. I have worn Seikos for 30 years, but I was wanting a replacement watch that I could easily read in the dark in bed without putting on my glasses - on that front the Luminox delivers extremely well. The face and time is very easy to read without being overly bright (too bright being a nagging concern/worry when reviewing opinions about Luminox products pre-purchase). I am generally satisfied with the quality of build, but must agree with other commentators who find the second-hand not perfectly lining up with the minute hash-marks a bit disconcerting. However, the overall package has allowed me to see past that negative attribute. The watch has been very durable so far, no water penetration, a solid metal feel whose black finish has yet to wear or scratch, along with a(yet)unscratched crystal and despite my typical smacking of the watch face into a variety of walls, metal objects, etc. The Luminox keeps decent time, having gained about 5 seconds since I reset it 6 weeks ago with the "fall back" to standard time. I can say that at this juncture I do not miss my 10 year-old Seiko diving style watch that has now been passed down to my teenaged son.

Nice watch, should have opted for the rubber watch band
Watch is precisely what I wanted in a watch. No buttons to push in order to see the display in the dark, rugged and accurate. Only negative is the watch band coating does not stand up to day to day use. Areas around the clasp subject to abrasion wore down to shiny metal in a matter of months. Rubber wrist band would have been more appropriate as replacement coated metal band is well over $100. None the less, I wear it every day and expect to get many years of service from it.

Awesome watch
I received my luminox 6402 in the mail yesterday. The watch is absolutely mint.Pros:Comes in official luminox packaging.Tight bezel.25 year gas tubes. No problem seeing at night.2 year warrantySwiss movementSapphire crystalMakes a statementCons:The only thing I noticed about the watch is that it pulls the hair in my wrist a little, but I have not had the watch sized yet so I am sure this won't be an issue. No other cons noted For people looking to buy, note that the dimensions of the watch listed on here are wrong. The case diameter is 45mm, not 50mm. The watch is not too big at all though. Granted, I am 6'4". I read another review where the guy said the watch was too bright and would give away your position in combat. The brightness is perfect and if you were in combat you'd have the watch covered anyway. I guess the current style is big watches, but I'm not really into big watches. This watch is the perfect size for me. Overall given the price and the fact that this is a lifetime watch, I would without a doubt recommend this watch.UPDATE** 6/22/12Part of the band on my watch broke after only having the watch for not even 2 months. Amazon stood behind the watch, honoring the warranty and resolved the issue at no cost to myself.

first tritium watch
This watch is a solid peice of craftsmanship. it is solid and i love the heft. I have had zero, zero issues about sharp edges or discomfort wearing it. I have had it on 24/7 and i don't even know its there. The tritium markers really sets this watch off from anything else out there. The screw down crown is a great touch and the bezel clicks with solid authority and is easy, but not too easy to turn. I can see how at some point the black finish could wear off so this watch is not my "beater" watch at all, although it is tough enough to survive anything you could throw at it. a replacement band is over 100 bucks so hopefully by the time it needs replacing(hopefully at least a decade) the cost will have come down to a more swallowable dollar amount. love this watch and i would fully recomend it to anyone

Hurts my wrist
this is a good looking sturdy watch. All metal. The biggest problem i have is that its unwearable. The back of the case has sharp edges and everytime i move my wrist is hurts very uncomfortable, and down right torturous. Believe me i'm not exaggerating not worth a penny if you can't wear it comfortably.I don't know what the company that made it was thinking, for a $400 plus watch they(company)could at lease have tested its design/comfort. Damn shame cause i like the way it looks thats about it for now. Yeaa its just sitting in the closet now collecting dust, since i wore it to work and can't return it cause i resized it to fit my wrist. O well hope this review helps. darren.

Luminox Nighthawk
Before purchasing this watch I saw some of the reviewers identified problems such as difficulty removing links from the band and sharp edges rubbing their wrist. I didn't find either of these problems with my watch. I don't know if these problems have been rectified by the manufacturer or were unique the the other folks deliveries. This is a great watch and everything Luminox claims it to be. It's easily read in the dark. Is comfortable and appears to be very rugged. I love it.
