Profile by Gottex Women's Origami D Cup Tankini Top (Rose, 40 D)

I wear a 36D bra and after reading the reviews of this tankini which advised ordering 2 sizes up, I ordered 1 size up...38D. Compromise. NO GOOD. VERY tight. So I ordered a 40D and it's perfect! LOVE it. I'm an old lady...70...and I haven't worn swimwear since my bikini days decades ago. I am very self-conscious, but this tankini is flattering while giving support and coverage. I'll combine it with a pair of swim tights (to the knee length) which will also cover my thighs which are not fit to be seen anymore! Well, I'm too old to not enjoy myself worrying about how I look but this tankini gives me the best chance of looking OK and I feel comfortable with it. Just remember it runs VERY small. To the seashore with me after being landlocked for 15 years. And the return is simple, plus the 40D was on sale at a great savings! BTW - the Blue Ink is a great shade of dark blue....livelier than navy would be!

I bought this elsewhere, but it's such a great problem solver that I had to add my thumbs up. I've tried on maybe 10 tankini styles in the last month, and the Origami beats them all, at least for a fuller figure. All the Profile by Gottex and panache tankinis I tried provided good upper support with real bras built in. But the Origami was the only one to offer some tummy control, with several shirring panels as camouflage. The "tutti frutti" model wasn't nearly as effective. This is also a better look for my senior age category, more elegant than cute. (Be forwarned that the backs on all these tankinis were pretty tight, so here's a tip: a simple bra extender works well to reduce back bulges, until the internal bra relaxes from wear.) The bad news is that the Origami style appears to be discontinued, so I'm here looking to get more while I can. Keep your hands off the pink one!

This was the most comfortable suit I have ever worn, and I was so excited to take it on my vacation to Las Vegas. However, on emerging from the pool after wearing this suit for the first time, the entire back and sides had faded from a brilliant royal blue to a dull gray. It was embarrassing, it looks horrible, and the suit is unwearable. I even pre-rinsed (washed with no soap) before wearing. I'm very disappointed, especially because this was not a cheap suit. I would not recommend this product (obviously).

The top is beautiful. It has underwire and after the 2nd time wearing, the underwire started to hurt. (Bathing suits are so hard to fit, especially bought online.) I was just going to give it away, but decided to make 2 small incisions in the cups and remove the underwire. After the removal, I was able to wear the top and have continued to use it now. It would have been better not to have the underwire in it.

Love love love the top. Everyone said to order up two sizes. I'm a 36dd, and I bought the 40d (because the 40dd wasn't available). It fits perfectly. Other than the obvious sizing issue, the fabric and construction is great - lot of support but doesn't look like it. Loving the look and put with the swim skirt.

This is a great tankini, I spent $180 at a specialty store on anther suit because I wear a 36DD and this suit actually has better support! Per the other reviews, I ordered 2 sizes up (40D) since DD was not an option. Perfect fit, comfortable and supportive! Wish they had more colors in my size.

Love this bathing suit! I am a big fan the gottex tankini with the foam line bras. This is probably my fifth purchase. I usually go for the black with the ruffle design on top and bottom so I decided to try something a tiny bit different. I'm glad i did. They have amazing support and coverage. The suit is a little longer than some tankini so it doesn't ride up on you. Don't hesitate on this suit. Very slimming and stylish!

Way too small but it's too late to return. Unusable due to it being sized so small. I bought my bra size and can't even start to fit into this. Looks well made but doesn't matter if it won't fit. Sizing information needs to be more accurate.
