My 82yo mother talked about having beetsugar syrup as a girl growing up in Germany and wanted to try this. She was thrilled that it tasted as she remembered and we all love it too!!It has a taste and texture similar to molasses but milder. We use it as a beverage sweetener and it’s a delicious replacement for pancake syrup!

I love this syrup. I grew up eating it, and I can't buy it in the midwest. I think it's a little expensive, but I buy it anyway. The last shipment three of the containers were a little busted open. That was not so great. I was able to salvage most of it, but it was messy.

I found this syrup on Amazon after listening to my 82 year old German mother remember her childhood on her farm during the maxi period. The had to make every thing including this beet syrup. Warm bread, fresh butter and coffee made this a real treat. Thanks!
