I'll start with the bad about this boot. This is not a combat infantry boot. It's not even a tactical boot. There is minimal ankle support and the sole seems a bit soft. It is more like a sneaker with a shaft than a combat infantry boot which, IMHO should support your ankle and have a good solid/firm sole for harsh terrain. The good? The material and stitching seems pretty solid. The suede seems of good quality and supple. The fabric feels like 500d and the shaft collar cushion is very soft. It is very light and I expect that it will breathe well. For the price I find it a good value as long as one realizes this is not likely to be a hard use boot for rucking a 120+ lb ruck but it is airy and comfortable.EDITED . So its march and the boots have failed with the leather at the heal ripping from the sole. The boot is light and comfortable but durable it is not. Oh well it was worth the test.

Regardless to the other posts, these boots have been AMAZING. I wear them every day. I bought the desert version since I can wear them in my OCPs. They are stupid comfortable. I just went hiking in the mountains and performed phenomenally. I got them several months ago and they still hold up. No tips or tears. I have Nike, Oakley and other brand boots, but these are amazing. I would definitely recommend them and they fit exactly to whatever boot size you wear (Not shoe size and they are not steel or composite toe). I also have the black leather ones as well. They are not as comfortable as the suede ones (desert and tan). I've also seen that the black ones dont hold up as well. They are however still extremely comfortable. The suede ones feel good and do not rub the back of the heel and is nice and tight all the way around the top of the boot down to the ankle. The black ones however tend to rub the back of the heel. These boots are by far the best I've ever purchased and I will still purchase another pair. Typically I don't write reviews but for these boots I will. I usually read comments and I think it's either robots spamming random comments or people asking questions about the product that's already stated. So I believe I gave a pretty good review on the product for those interested. And yes the Tan ones are pretty close to the 499 Tan for OCP. No they are not composite toe or steel toe. Fits as expected

These boots are extreamly light comfortable they are almost weightless. The soles are super soft to a fault, they are so soft they are easily penitrated by brads and nails. If you aren't in need of a rugged sole the softness is amazing. These are not a cold weather boot but in hot climates they are very breathable and cool. The fit is true to size and fit like a glove. These aren't durable but are priced so that they can be replace regularly and can even purchase several pair at a time to allow the recomended 2 days of airing out after a days wear. This helps reduce the risk of foot fungus.

I got the tan. Def a desert tan color, not the spice brown or coyote brown that will be required to wear for all Air Force OCPs after June 2020. But per AFI 36-2903, I have until June 2020 to wear these desert tan ones so that works. I like them. Lightweight, has a bit of a harder toe (but doesnt cover the entire toe region as required for industrial areas, keep in mind). I am female, wear a womens size 9 in boot (to account for thick socks) and I ordered the 7.5, fits great with it being slightly wider in toe area. The upper material around the calf and ankle is lightweight and comfy so I def wont have to break these in too long. Could be a good or bad thing. So far so good! Basically I bought these to buy me time to get the coyote brown-and better quality-boots. These will work for light piddling around, for sure, just not heavy stuff.

When you order these, make sure you order them a half size bigger than you normally wear!! Definitely get them in a wide, if you can. And whatever you do, do not get them wet! They are made for the desert, not the wetlands 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Found that out the hard way just wearing them while walking in the rain. They have breather holes in the sides of the boots, so the water will just flow right to the inside of the boots.

These fit great out of the box and were comfortable without any padding, I would say these are good for light hiking or street wear, would not trust these long term in an abusive or long trail hike as the material feels like it will eventually tear from taking just the boots off. Overall theyre ok for the price but I would consider paying a little extra for entry level bellevilles.

I have had these boots for 2 months so far, I wear them daily for work. I have had them in the woods for 14 days straight and they withstood anything I threw at them. They are great boots, sizing is good, everything you see is actually what you get. They are comfortable, they look good, they are light weight. The only downside is the rain, once these boots get wet they take a couple days to dry (that’s sitting outside every day during 35 degree Celsius days) I would highly recommend these boots to anyone, I will definitely buy them again once it’s time for new boots again.
