Braun should bring this back to the US
I saw a friend in Germany use this juicer last month and thought it looked super easy to use and clean. But I learned they aren't still made in the US, so I found an older one on Amazon. It's great. I had never bought an automated juicer before because the effort to clean the thing seemed harder than just squeezing the fruit by hand for the limited uses I have (glasses of orange juice, sauces, cocktails, etc.). This is easy to use and easy to clean. I love it.

good news/bad news
First the good news:- Like the really high end juicers, this juicer is continuous flow: no more stopping to empty a tiny little shallow container, or spilling one all over yourself on the way to the table.- There are only two parts that get messy, and they're both really easy to clean (but not dishwasher safe, unfortunately)- (Most important) According to customer service, the plastic cone and cup are made out of polypropylene. Unlike ABS, polycarbonate, or vinyl, polypro doesn't leech into acidic food. Then, the bad news:- The motor is weak enough to stall on large oranges, expecially if they're old and a little dry.- The motor doesn't autoreverse, so you leave lots of pulp behind.- The spout is about an eighth of an inch too low to put a pyrex one quart measuring cup under (bummer).- The continuous-flow spout looks like a lesson in bad iterative design. Because of the way pulp is caught, the spout dribbles for about a minute after juicing has stopped (big deal - this is what saucers are for). So, the designers decided to make the spout flip up to stop the dribble. Then, to stop juice from going around the edges of the spout, they made the juice come out of a tiny little juice hole onto the spout, and put a little rubber button on the spout to plug the tiny little juice hole. It works: when the spout is flipped up the juicer doesn't leak. But when the spout is flipped down, the pulp clogs around the button and the hole. This juicer is still worth buying if you don't want to spend the bucks for a higher-end continuous juicer. You'll have to unclog it after every five or six oranges, though, so if you were planning on bulk juicing, or have a large family, you probably want to buy one of the more expensive ones.

DO NOT BUY THIS BUY the MPZ6 or MPZ7
I just called Braun 800-277-8611 and they said that this model lacked a "pulp regulalator" what that means is that you juice for awhile and then pulp gets stuck in it and you have to empty it manually. The above-mentioned models have a regulator.Besides that, it rips.

Clogs easily, doesn't accommodate tall glasses
I recently purchased this Braun juicer. The motor is powerful and it does do a decent job extracting the juice. However, I have three problems with this product:1) The hole which allows juice to flow from the catcher down through the pouring spout is tiny. Thus, the hole is very easily clogged with seeds or pulp, forcing the user to disassemble the pieces and manually clear out the hole to allow the juice to flow. VERY ANNOYING!!2) The design does not accommodate tall glasses.3) When the adjustable spout is turned down to allow juice flow, the top of the juicer does not firmly fit onto the base. This causes the top to be unstable, rocking back and forth when a user applies downward pressure while juicing.

Good product...
Very good juicer, and it does remove a decent amount of juice from the oranges. The only *minor* complaint is that this unit needs a strainer to prevent the pulp from being mixed in with the juice. This complaint, however, is not a problem or concern to me. A friend of mines uses this product too and that is her opinion.

Strong, Simple, Efficient, Inexpensive
I was a little concerned about the power of this juicer after reading other reviews. Let me assure you that this thing is plenty powerful for doing any kind of citrus fruit unless you get something that is rock hard (you wouldn't want to juice that anyway.) I've had the thing for 2 weeks and have juiced tons of stuff including big grapefruits in it without any problem or slowdown. This thing is a champ.Someone was right when they said that the pulp does kinda collect in the little juice shute, but that is really only a minor thing. All you have to do is just wiggle it a little and the pulp moves out of the way and the juice flows right into your glass.Overall - I'm very happy with this thing. Especially for the price I can't imagine any other unit that gives you more value for the money. I highly recommend this juicer.

Quit you're grippin and start juicin'
Bought this wonderful machine for my wife about two months ago. We mainly do oranges and grapefruit here in Fl. This little blockbuster just keeps on a crankin. My wife doesn't have a lot of strength in her right hand but has no problem producing a nice supply from this machine. To those who complain about it not being tall enough to put a glass under, my response is quit the whinin and use your head. I put my juicer to give it a bit more elevation and it works just fine. These same folks would probably be complaining about the thing taking up excessive cupboard or counter space if they made it taller. Buy this dude and you won't be sorry, if you are lokking for a simple no fuss juice machine.

The best in a crowded market of underachievers...
I have tried using 5 different citrus juicers in as many weeks; from the lowest prices to some of the higher prices, both manual & electric. Money was not the object...ease of use was, now that the honeybells were on the market, and I was deperate for a simple, effective, efficient way to extract the juice from these beauties...without stress and strain. The Braun, my old standard, once again pleased me the most.Easy to disassemble and clean. Nifty drip-proof spout. Enough power. Fair price for a nicely engineered piece of kitchen equipment.Works with lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits of varying sizes. Not perfect, but the all-around leader, in my opinion, in a crowded market of flashy, overpriced underachievers and underpowered poorly designed cheap wannabes.
