Spongebob Boating Bash - Nintendo Wii

My grandsons previous one broke or wore out. They were so happy to get this fun game again!

I purchased this game on sale because my family are Spongebob fans. I have a three year old that loves playing Wii games, and I thought this would be a good family game for us to play. This is a fun game, at least for awhile. I first sat down to play this and unlock some boats and characters and within two hours had the entire game beat/unlocked. This isn't overly difficult but there seems to be enough to keep you entertained for awhile. Once I got a lot of the characters, boats and courses unlocked, we were able to play the group mode as a family and have fun. Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy as well as the Invisible Boat Mobile are available for use within the game. You can also unlock Mr. Krabs and Plankton.There are variations on the games you can play but ultimately it comes down to smashing other boats. It can be a little tricky to go back and collect the parts after you smash but that's part of the game. My daughter got a little bored with this after 20 minutes, and I would say it didn't take me too much longer. Overall it's a fun, not very deep game. I think as long as you don't pay more than $30 for it, it's worth having for the family if you are Spongebob fans. I will give them credit for not trying to make this like so many other "racing" games...it's unique and different.

Game is fun, but the control is really like using a sledgehammer to put a nail in a wall to hang a picture. There's little fine tuning, no easy little motions, so it's like "full right turn" and "full left turn" all the time.Other than that, there's an alright amount of variety, but some of the levels can be frustrating for younger ones when they fall into the ditches they didn't notice in time. Situational awareness is a must!

The game showed up on time and wasn't damaged. But if you are use to Mario Kart or other racing games, then the quality of this one seems a lil crappy. It hard to see in 2 players where you are going because the screen is split side to side rather than top and bottom. The controls are a bit touchy too, if you barely turn the wheel it turns the boats fast(at least on mine). It takes some getting use to.

My 6 yr old LOVES Spongebob so she was super excited to get this game..however , the controls are a little difficult for her and she grows bored of it very quickly..It is not what I expected at all...If they would have made it like Mario cart it would have been a load of fun...all in all we both are highly disappointed in this game

I bought this game for my Lil' Big Man's 5th Birthday and he just loves to play it. I have played it too. I don't mind Spongebob....heck sometimes I even watch the cartoon with my kids. It was a good buy if you like crashing and racing.

This is actually a good tutorial on how to work all the other driving games that don't give you a clue. The kids are big Spongebob fans, so it really is a lot of fun for them. Not bad for adults either.

My son got the game and immediately started playing it. He got through many of the levels quickly. That is one of the downsides in that it may not be that challenging, just fun!

This is a really cute game. My 12yr old daughter and I play it together. She always beats me but it is super fun. We get the grandparents to play too and it goes to another level of hilarity. Highly recommended.

My 8yr old son loves this! Perfect present and keep him entertained for hours. Dropped 1 star as it is quite a bit more expensive than other wii games.

pefect for the nephews and its a sneeky way to keep being the number 1 uncal even if i am there only uncal

Great with 4 people on a larger TV, all the characters are there and my 6 & 10 year olds are big fans.
