The Le Creuset Roaster The traditional roaster made of cast iron should be a part of every kitchen. It guarantees a healthy and enjoyable cooking experience whether searing, slow cooking or braising. 7 Good Reasons to Choose Le Creuset Roaster Made of Enamelled Cast Iron: 1. Even heat dispersal and retention with good energy efficiency Cast iron is a perfect heat absorber and distributor. Once cast iron gets hot the heat remains for a long time. Therefore, you do not need high heats for cooking and frying, just medium or low temperatures to get an optimum, vitamin-rich cooking result or tender pieces of meat. The heat radiates equally up to the edge and all round the foodstuff. 2. From the kitchen to the table Serving stylishly in the roaster at the table keeps food warm for the whole meal time due to the cast iron's optimum heat retention. The great, timeless colour palette leaves no wish unfulfilled and adapts to any style. The alternating trendy colours are the finishing touch to the range. 3. Robust internal and external enamel The complete internal and external enamelling makes this cookware very durable, totally hygienic, flavour-neutral and acid-resistant so it's suitable for marinating in wine or lemon juice. The black enamel interior is perfect for sharp searing. The bright enamel side can be cleaned very easily. 4. Practical with many uses From marinating, refrigerating, cooking on the stove or roasting in the oven or under the grill to stylishly serving at the table - everything possible in one pot. 5. Can be used on all types of stoves including induction and oven / grill Le Creuset cookware can be used on all types of hobs, glass ceramic, halogen, electric and gas, and in the oven or grill; ideal for induction. The lid knob is heat resistant up to 190 °C. You can also change the heat source as much as you like while cooking. 6. Easy to clean Le Creuset cookware is easy to clean and dishwasher safe. 7. 30-year warranty and kitchen cooking pleasure Often imitated but always without success, Original Le Creuset cookware is for everyday use and will last for years and years Its 30 year guarantee is testament to its indestructibility. Its worldwide reputation as "The French Cookware" is confirmed because Le Creuset is frequently used by top chefs and television chefs, restaurateurs and cookbook authors. Tips for Preventing RustNever soak the pan: Since cast iron is so vulnerable to rust, it’s best to limit your pan’s exposure to water as much as possible.Don’t let the pan air dry: Wipe off any excess water with a towel immediately after rinsing. To get your skillet bone dry, pop it on the burner to remove extra moistureLightly oil after use: Once dried, rub your skillet with a thin layer of vegetable oil before storingSeasoning: Drop a tablespoon of vegetable oil on the pan/utensil and spread it around with your fingers or a paper towel. (Take care not to burn yourself on a warm skillet!). Oil the outside and the handle, too. Next, take a folded napkin and wipe off the excess oil. You’ll want the skillet to be lightly greased. Set your oven to 350 degrees and put some aluminum foil on the bottom rack. Then pop the skillet in, upside down, on the upper rack for about 1 hour. Turn the oven off and leave the pan inside until it’s cool. The oil will bake into the pores of the pan, providing a non-stick finish

A Cast Iron Investment
There's no doubt about it, when you buy a Le Creuset product you are investing in a quality product that will last you a lifetime and, with the appropriate care, will look as good as the day you bought it 20 years down the line. This 20cm casserole is ideal for a single person or couple. If you were making a casserole or curry you're looking at 2 generous portions or perhaps 3 average helpings. A worthy addition to your kitchen.

ALL THAT IS EXPECTED OF LE CREUSET
Perfect size for someone usually alone but who entertains quite often. Nice to look at even on the table and most of all doesn't burn and is VERY easy to clean. Excellent for slow cooking soups and stews. I highly recommend it although it is expensive... but it is well worth every penny.

A pan for a lifetime
Love this pan. It's strong, heavy and can see it lasting many, many years. I've cooked food that can stain some pans but a quick rinse after cooking and a wash later it's as good a new. Have always wanted a set of Le Creuset pans and look forward to (slowly) building up my set.

Perfect
Lovely colour, makes cooking very enjoyable, looks amazing in any kitchen and does the job perfectly. Soup, stews, braising, everything is more fun to make in this cocotte and seems to taste better too. High price, but if you look after it, it will outlive you.

Beautiful.
It wasn't massively clear from the picture, but this pot has a lovely glittery finish. It's the colour of an expensive nail polish and I really like it. It might not suit some people, though. The pot comes in a good quality box with an insert. The insert lists some Le Creuset recipes to try out in your new pot.
