Love all the illustrations too and how well they did writing this for a young audience. Perfect for any parent hoping to get their kids into DnD.

Great introduction book to Fantasy role playing, very creative!!
This easy-to-follow beginners guide to a fantasy role-playing game has been a lot of fun to read! For someone who knows nothing about fantasy role-playing games this has been a joy to find and I have the confidence that I will be able to play the game with the directions and guidance this book provided to me! The author explains everything from the beginning in order not only how to play the game but what everything is for in the game. The directions are concise and fun, there is so much creativity in the game!My first impression of this book, it really grabbed my attention and I was excited to read it. The book is filled with pictures describing how to play the game, how to stet up the boards, the pieces and cards you will need for creating your players and parts of the game. There are plenty of suggestions but it also allows the players to use their own creativity to create and change anything they want within the game. I love that this book creates a game which does foster creativity and even your own story telling and rule making. These are important skills not to be overlooked! Well-illustrated, the book goes a long way in keeping your attention. The story line for the game is very creative and well spelled out for the Game Master to follow and run the game. This is a great book for anyone, young or old, who may want to try out what a fantasy role-playing game is all about. This game does not require a huge investment to try, just a book and some copies and your imagination. The book is very well written and illustrated, very creative and a great start to someone who might be interested in exploring the fantasy game world.⭐️ 1 star - I don't recommend it at all.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, poorly written or bad information.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - Good Book. Not for me. Not the most well written.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Very good book quite, I would recommend and well written.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Book that I totally recommend and could not put down. Well written and a book I would read again

Great intro to TTRPGs!
The art in this book is warm, lighthearted, and fun to look at. It's well done and will likely inspire young readers to make their own attempts at fantasy art.The book itself is a good introduction to TTRPGs. It explains various aspects, from character creation and inventory management to spellcasting and combat rules. It's explained in simple, straightforward language. The rules system is similar to D&D (I play 5e), but in a honed-down way so that there isn't so much for kids to learn and remember at once. For instance, it's been simplified to 3 ability scores instead of 6, and combat is enacted by contesting d6 rolls. It's similar enough that you could easily start your kids (or your adult adventuring party) with this game and progress to D&D once you're ready. Also, this book contains a multi-session adventure! It's a fully-fleshed adventure with fun puzzles and activities that still allows room for customization if desired. My kids have been playing 5e since my youngest was in kindergarten, but I wish this book had been around when we started playing. It would have been a great way to introduce role-playing games without an overwhelming number of rules. It would have also made me far more likely to start playing sooner (for years, I was intimidated by not knowing anything about D&D; this simplified version would have made it far more accessible).I'm excited for my kids to check this one out. They're 9 and 11 and just starting to design their own one-shots. I think this book will provide them with some helpful tips as they create their own adventures!4 stars instead of 5 because the font doesn't feel like it fits the book and because some of the information felt like it was presented only partially or out of order. For example, when a d6 and d20 are first mentioned, there should be images of those dice so that the reader can identify them more easily. (Also, a note about dice rolling apps and websites would be helpful so that kids can start playing immediately, even if they don't own any dice yet.) Combat should be explained before the weapons and gear section to make weapon selection clearer and easier. Also, there are dotted lines on the familiar cards, but the backs of those pages have other parts of the book presented on them. Don't let these finicky complaints suggest that I didn't enjoy this book. I think it's wonderful, and I'm SO glad that it exists, but I think it could have benefited from another run-through to ensure that information was presented in the best way and best possible order.

Great guide into RPG
This has been an extremely helpful book. As a parent I was kind of lost when it comes to this stuff unfortunately, but this guide walks you through everything RPG and then some, lots of fun! Highly recommend for anyone with a child interested in RPG.

Fun Introduction to Tabletop RP Games
This book is a lot of fun and a great intro to tabletop role play games, like ones that have to do with dragons and dungeons and the like. It's incredibly thorough in explaining all of the aspects of this kind of gaming, and what I really appreciated is that it's written in a way that works for kids, but also for adults who are new to this kind of gaming. I'm familiar with games like this, but not as active as some of my friends in playing, so while I got this for my kids to help explain how these types of games work, it also gave me a crash course on the subject. The book provides a breakdown of various types of characters, game play, strategy, and world-building, and offers some scenarios to play. Overall, I think book would be good for anyone new to tabletop fantasy role play gaming, or people who are familiar who want something that can help their kids understand the rules and give them a way to get into this kind of gaming.
