I would say mid, not waist. I’m 115 lbs and am 5‘1“ tall and I prefer an XL. I don’t like them biting into my skin! Oh, and they are not high cut on the legs at all. The picture is extra large on the bottom and the large is the black pair on top.

Q: Are these panties moisture wicking?

Hello the Carol Hochman seamless briefs are made up of 94% Nylon / 6% Spandex therefore they do not offer a lot of moisture wicking. A cotton, cotton blend or polyester would do a better job for moisture wicking concerns.

Q: why is this product double the price of last year?

I noticed that too. Try Costco or other box larger store for more competitive pricing

I am like you if you purchased XL size they would fit. You will love them. But the L/XL size they also make would not. The XL is 4 times the price as lower sizes Costco has these in all sizes for less then 12. I wish Carole Hochman brand made their seamless full coverage briefs in XXL size.
