This is a great little adaptive tool that turns a clasp bracelet (or necklace, if you wanted, I guess) into a magnetic closure. You clasp the magnet on the bracelet and the opposite end of the bracelet on the opposite end of the magnet and you are off to the races. Me personally I have trouble putting on a lobster clasp with one hand, plus I have thick wrists so I don't have a lot of slack to work with. Whatever your need, this solves it pretty handily. The magnets are pretty strong! They absolutely should not casually fall apart. If it catches on something as you are moving by, I could see it pulling it off, but with enough resistance, you're going to feel it on your limb anyway. Like an OSHA latch on a lanyard. Great product!

The color of the magnet part of the clasp is a yellow 18K gold tone, and the spring clasps and chains are more of a cool tone that looks more silver next to the profound yellow tone of the magnets. Otherwise the clasps work well and they are all accounted for, All of the clasps are in proper functional condition. Perhaps using in very colorful, beaded, and two tone metal pieces is a solution.4 stars

I have arthritis, and so bucking bracelets that have a lobster claw clasp or traditional circular clasp is a nightmare, especially doing it with one hand. These things are such a mercy. Hook the magnet's lobster claw to the chain end and then fasten the bracelet's clasp to the loop by the other magnet. Slide your wrist in and you're done! The video is very accurate as to how they work. The only problem is that if the bracelet is made of a ferromagnetic metal, the bracelet itself will stick to the magnet as you're trying to put it on and you'll have to push it out of the way to allow the magnets to clasp.The magnets themselves are pretty strong, so I believe the bracelet is secure. Real-world testing will be the key and I'll edit if I find there's any issues there.

Good thing they come with their own safety chain and the magnets leave something to be desred. When I'm in a store buying supplies, my test for magnetic clasps is to stick the clasp to a metal shelf and get a feel for how it does. Some don't even hold up their own weight. These I were hopeful for since they did pass the basic stick test.However in actual use, they weren't as attractive as I would have liked. I don't make delicate chains, but more robust pieces and like to be able to have a magnetic option available. While these looked nice and did clasp, the closure didn't hold up as well to extended use.

As I get older, I find that attaching my necklace or bracelet gets more difficult, more uncomfortable and takes more time. I have been in the process of changing every necklace that I wear often into a magnet clasp that is easy to operate. This set of safety chain magnets from MKCYD is unique and I like the added security. I have added these to some necklaces that are family pieces or more valuable. The tiny chain will prevent the necklace from falling off without me noticing. These clasp/ magnets are dainty and made for chains that are not very heavy. They do a great job converting my thinner or more delicate necklaces.I am happy with the quality, the color and the price. I'm replacing all of the clasps on my Mother's jewelry w/ these magnets to make it easier for her to put them on & wear her jewelry.

The magnets seem strong, but there's a lot of these on the market with no chain. I ordered these specifically for the safety chain. Not sure if it's poor quality control or misrepresentation. I will use the magnets & they are good for closing, not worth sending back, but not correct product.

These work as described and look great.
