Textbook of Chronic Wound Care: An Evidence-Based Approach for Diagnosis and Treatment

Broad view of wound care but needs update
Great for historical view and most of what is available now. Good procedural book with emphasis on caring for wounds but not always healing them; some wont heal and some feet will be amputated. However, needs a new chapter on biofilms and better data on the full range of microbes inhabiting a wound. The fungi in particular remain mysterious, unnecessarily so, and it may be the case that a more complete microbial focus---not to ignore tissue perfusion, etc.--- will lead to less puttering around with the mechanics of care.

Another Amazing Book by Leaders in the Field of Wound Care
With a passion for wound care, I bought this book because it is essentially the next edition (aka latest and greatest) to "Wound Care Practice" by Drs Sheffield and Fife. (In the past, I purchased and read "Wound Care Practice" to not only expand my knowledge of wound care, but also to prepare for and pass the American Board of Wound Healing (ABWH) Physician Certification in Wound Care). "Textbook of Chronic Wound Care: an evidence-based approach for diagnosis and treatment" is the perfect title because it describes this book to a "T"; loved reading and re-reading this book - excellent comprehensive reference and resource for those interested in wound care - highly recommend.
