Beautiful and detailed
Assembling this book nook was an enjoyable experience. The intricate details really make it stand out, and the final product looks beautiful on my bookshelf. The instructions were clear, though it required some patience, which made it all the more satisfying to complete. The craftsmanship of the wooden pieces is impressive, and everything fit together nicely. It’s not just a DIY project but a charming decorative piece that adds character to any space. Would definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys crafting or is looking for a unique bookshelf decoration.

Tricky build in places
I really enjoyed building this miniature kit overall, but it did try my patience at times! Just some notes:▶ The stated 1-2 hours build time is pretty accurate; I rarely build miniatures and it took me just a hair over two hours, with a 15-minute break in the middle.▶ Most of the build is slotting wood pieces together, which makes it rather pleasant.▶ There's not a lot that needs to be glued, but you definitely need the glue. Some sort of quick-drying glue would be best - all I had was UHU and that wasn't great, as that takes time to dry. I've had E6000 suggested to me for future builds but I'm hardly a glue expert.▶ Go through the instructions and glue things ahead of time where you can - there's only a couple spots where you cannot and they're immediately obvious (one involves the touch control for the light).▶ Wait to build the little plant until you know which way the kit wants it facing. (I turned it the wrong way and by the point I realised, it was glued, and I couldn't turn it. Ah well.)▶ You need to press down quite firmly for tabs to go into slots. Build on a stable surface and use it to press against - just be careful with delicate pieces (I nearly broke the little plant). This will work as a book nook, as it can fit in a bookshelf just fine; the control for the light ends up at the front, and there's nothing protruding off either side that would keep you from shelving books right next to it. The little door to get at the battery pack is on the back, but you can just pull the whole box out of the shelf when it's time to change the batteries.

Accurately cut, good pictorial instructions - a bit fiddly!
The CUTEBEE Book Nook Kit-DIY Miniature House Kit is an illuminated, wooden kit, very cute and has detailed assembly instructions. A few drops of wood glue will be required to complete assembly. The kit consists of a bag containing the 'electricals', 2 AA batteries are required (not supplied) to light up the book nook. The builder is advised to test the function of the lighting prior to assembling the kit. There are 4 sheets of wood, beuatifully printed and very precisely cut, which makes construction easier, but parts are delicate, so some care is needed when 'popping' the parts out to use. there are some very small parts in the kit, which will make some of the construction fiddly. This is a project for my grand daughter & me in a couple of weeks, so I'll add a finished photo or two a little later. This is the 2nd book nook we will have built, the first was fiddly too, but satisfying to see completed. This I'm sure will be equally good, absorbing, fun for a couple of hours.Treat it gently when building and all should go well.5* today, if anything goes amiss during building I'll revise the reqiew.

A combination of jigsaw and modeling
This is the second one of these we have had, as the first one proved such a hit. It will be a present for my wife's father, who likes modeling and jigsaws. The nice thing about these is that they add an extra dimension to your typical 2D jigsaw puzzle.I can't remember how long he said the other one took him, it was several hours, but he said he was completely hooked. A lot of that seemed to be down to him feeling he was creating something. With a jigsaw you just end up with a picture, whereas with something like this you end up with a whole three-dimensional space.I suppose it combined his love of modeling with jigsaws, so it is the best of both words. The previous one he gave to us after he had finished it, and we have it on one of our bookshelves, which I suspect is where this one will end up when he has finished it.

Grazie

Viel Liebe zum Detail
The media could not be loaded.
