Clears and minimizes breakouts at ANY age.
So we've got some acne and pore issues in this house that kind of run the gamut. I've got teenage girls and I've just turned 50. So we're dealing with hormonal acne at both ends of the spectrum. From breakouts that occur like clockwork with periods to breakouts that occur with no rhyme or reason due to decreasing hormones. We've also got all the pore issues that go along with menstrual cycles and those that go along with aging. So it's kind of a buffet of acne and pore issues. This toner by Triumph & Disaster (and OMG I absolutely love the name) works for ALL OF US. It cleared up the breakouts we already had and decreased the frequency of them happening over time. I use it in the morning after washing my face and my daughters use it at night after taking off their makeup. No matter who is using it or when it's being used, it's the first thing we put on our faces after they're clean. My daughters use it with a cotton pad, I just splash some on my hands and pat it on my face in the areas where my pores have been becoming enlarged and where I usually get my hormonal breakouts when they do occur. No irritation, high quality ingredients, one of the easiest things to do that makes a huge difference we've been able to see. It might seem to be a bit pricey, but considering the amount you get and how little you have to use to see results, plus the fact that you can dump a boatload of money on skincare issues....well, the price makes sense to me given the results we've seen. I also like that I've found something that works for all of us, so I'm not buying a bunch of different products. This is 5 STARS for us and obviously a definite repurchase many times over.

Lots of excellent natural ingredients.
This toner is from New Zealand and is my first beauty product from that country. Not sure if I understand the name of the company: Triumph and Disaster. Seems as if "Disaster" isn't exactly an optimal name for products of any kind. But no disasters here with its use. There are approximately 16 ingredients, 11 that are what I consider to be very good, naturally derived from plants. You have witch hazel, of course, but also lavender, manuka extract, salicylic acid, fern leaf extract, Tasmanian pepper fruit extract, oat kernel extract, alpine willowherb extract, and chamomile extract. There is also gluconolactone, which is a mild exfoliator similar to AHA and BHA.This toner is touted to be alcohol free, although the ingredients list includes benzyl alcohol. Apparently since benzyl alcohol is ethanol free it can be included in alcohol-free products, in spite of its name. In addition, it is not one of the first ingredients. All in all, this is a gentle and good product. It leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. I apply it with a cotton round and then allow it to air dry and do not follow the instructions to afterwards "wipe clean, repeat." If you use makeup, it would be a good idea to clean off your makeup thoroughly before using this, of course. This is kind of expensive so why waste it?One thing you will notice as you clean your face with this is that it foams just a bit. That's because one of the ingredients is coprylyl/capryl glucoside. That is a surfactant added to foaming and cleaning products. I don't know if it's a necessary ingredient but perhaps it enhances the cleaning power of the toner. This seems to me to be a very good toner. The only objection I have to it is the price. It costs maybe six times the amount my usual drugstore toner does.

Effective Toner
I have been using this for the past couple of weeks along with my husband and we have both decided we like it. The main ingredient is witch hazel but it’s not like using only witch hazel. There are clearly other things added that cause it to foam? Sort of bubble? but it’s not soapy. It’s hard to explain but it sounds bubbly in the cotton ball. Using it even after washing my face still removes dirt from my pores. Doesn’t leave my face feeling dried out. This is a nice toner and gets my face ready for my nighttime skin routine.

Toning lotion
I'm a little on the fence with this toning lotion. I've used plenty of toners but never a 'toning lotion' so I was unsure on what this could do. I wanna love it, and I think I do, but then again idk.It comes out clear, like water. The only time I use cotton rounds during skincare is when I apply a toner. So I pour this toner into my round and rub it on. As I'm swiping the cotton round across my face this toner goes from watery to almost...it's hard to describe, but it reminds me of how hair shampoo looks/feels if you rub it into your dry skin (I can't be the only one who's ever done that). It's almost a little tiny bit sudsy, but without the bubbles. The directions say to wipe it off afterwards which is super weird to me and an annoyance if that's a true extra step you have to do in order to use this. The first time I used it I did wipe my face with a dry cotton round, but I haven't done that since and haven't experienced any difference.Overall, I like the toner but it's consistency once you begin swiping it across your face is different and throws me for a loop....and idk what to make of that direction suggesting I have to wipe this off after application.

A soft toner that won't irritate your skin
I was intrigue this toner came from New Zealand and why not give it a try since all the ingredient is all natural.Main Ingredient that is calming, reduces redness, and control oil and acne:1. Witch Hazel2. Lavender3. Salicylic Acid4. Oat Kernel5. ChamomileThe toner smells like your in your backyard garden with variety of flowers minus roses, its smells subtly of botanical green house. It feels like what a witch hazel would do cleans the skin but without stripping the skin of the hydration, but at the same time because it is alcohol free it doesn't have the exfoliating effect of removing the dirt from the skin effectively as other type of toner. I wouldn't say this toner is life changing, but for its price I wouldn't buy it again its mighty expensive, but probably because this is a natural toner made from nature so I give them props for being green.
