Made of Steel
It's heavier than I expected. Beautiful detail and made of real steel.

THE REAL DEAL!!
Wow, for $56 I wasn’t expecting such a high quality sword! This sword is heavy, well constructed, leather handle, and the sheath is just as good. This will be a great touch to my wardrobe when attending the King Richard’s Faire this fall. Can’t wait!I highly recommend this sword for anyone looking for a realistic product.

Very impressive for the price
I had my reservations about this product as it is Made in China, but I only need it for display purposes and light cosplay, so I figured the quality doesn't matter as much. Boy, was I surprised when I took it out of the box!The sword itself looks great, the pommel with the lion is nice, the handle and the crossguard are simple yet elegant, and the sheath with the metal elements is stylish, yet not gaudy. The sword came out of the sheath extremely easily (it actually almost fell out as I dipped it down a bit) and it has quite a bit of oil on it - needs a good cleaning as expected. It is also surprisingly hefty, nothing you can't swing one-handed, but there's definitely weight to it. When swung around, the sword makes a satisfying "swish" sound as it cuts through the air, and it does not flail about or vibrate. The blade is dull as advertised, but pointy. It is thick enough to feel sturdy and it won't bend under its own weight when held out. It has the word "CHINA" engraved in it, which kind of takes away from its charm, but for the price I can live with it.The handle is surprisingly not the cheap round shape - it is the correct more oval, elongated shape that fits the hand better. The cons I noticed were that the faux leather sheath gets kind of wrinkly as you hold onto it, like the material isn't as taut as it should be; the metal parts except the blade are definitely made of non-magnetic material - maybe potmetal? ; and the metal ring on the handle was a bit uncomfy for the bottom of my palm. Though, I have very small hands as I can fit both of them on the grip and use this as a pseudo-bastard sword. Finally, I would recommend the seller to describe what materials are used in this sword (like what metal the hilt and such parts are made of, what material is wrapped around the handle), but again, for $52, this was an excellent purchase. Kudos to the maker, I believe they managed to get as high in quality as the price tag allowed!

Display piece for sure, as one issue is holding it back!
I wish this sword was better! The blade was very light yet sturdy feeling, and the handle felt great despite the fact it was a rat tail, because the pommel was a giant bolt cap that kept everything tight with a little twist every now and then. Only one problem... the sword stuck like crazy in the sheath! When placed fully in the sheath it would take all my strength to remove the blade, and when worn at the hip it couldn't be removed at all. Even got a nasty bruise trying to wrench it out by smacking myself in the ribs with it! Absolutely loved the look and feel of this blade, but that one thing rendered it unusable for me. Would be awesome as a display piece!
