Fail-safes failed, do not recommend
I bought this in mid July to prepare for a scuba trip in mid August. The quality of the lens appeared to be good, however I wasn't able to test it because the fasteners that hold the lens to the GoPro failed, the very cheap quality tether broke, and the lens setup was lost, at the beginning of a Mac dive. So the many nudibranchs encountered could not be filmed. The construction indicates a poor attention to detail. I certainly cannot recommend this product.
