Gives a really smooth shave

This comes in an attractive box along with a USB-A to USB-C cable, blade oil, cleaning brush, carry bag and instructions. There is also a clear plastic cap to protect the blades. It was a bit lighter to hold than expected. It looks like it’s made of metal but I think the front is metal and the back and sides are plastic.The shaver arrived fully charged and only has one button to operate it. Pressing it once starts it running at 7,000rpm, pressing it again, speeds it up to 8,000rpm and a final press switches it off. I’m not sure why it has two speeds but I’m guessing the slower speed is to get through thicker, longer hair. I used it on both and didn’t notice any difference on my day old stubble. A nice feature is that if you press and hold the button, it puts it in travel lock mode. This then disables the button, so you don't accidentally turn on the shaver when travelling, and displays a padlock on the screen. The screen also has a clean symbol which is supposed to appear when the shaver needs cleaning.The shaver has two foils and it does a decent job of giving me a good shave. It’s as good as any electric shaver I’ve used and comfortable to use. The trimmer is operated by sliding it up. It’s not a positive sliding action though and quite stiff to push back down. It did an okay job but a dedicated trimmer would be better. Cleaning it was easy with a simple, removable foil cover and easy to access blades.You can see the speed and battery percentage in the digital display. I’ve used it for three shaves (5 mins per shave) and the battery has only dropped 20%, so should last me a couple of weeks between charges, which is pretty good.

The prime requirement from a shaver is that it gives you a clean close shave. This shaver fulfills that function fully. But you also get a shaver that is nice to handle, feels solid and looks good too. It lays flat on the shelf unlike most others that either need a special holder or wobble about on a shelf and it comes with a handy travel pouch that's large enough to take the usb lead as well. It has two motor speeds. I don't know what the point of this might be, except perhaps to conserve the battery if you're running low. The 'manual' gives little information other than the function of the buttons. The trimmer is the only thing that I would criticise. It slides up and clicks into place but its quite stiff, particularly when sliding back again to the off position. But it trims well and its extends sufficiently clear of the heads. I have not had it long enough to report on the power consumption but it would probably do 15 shaves or so between charges. With the head removed cleaning is easy due to the uncluttered design - I was pleased to see this as it can be quite a fiddle with other brands. The protective cover is also well designed - it clicks into place firmly and gives proper protection, another improvement over other well known brands. I bought it to replace a Panasonic which was probably the worst shaver I'd ever used, and I'm delighted with the purchase. The Scttomon ( that IS how its spelt ) gives an outstanding shave and I have no hesitation in recommending it but with one reservation. I don't know how long the foil head or cutters will last and there doesn't appear to be any availability of spare parts.

First time using a foil shaver. Used for a month, every other day. It gave a finish as good as a wet shave with a razor. However after a months use it just stopped working. It will turn on while it’s charging but as soon as you unplug the cable it just stops working. Wouldn’t recommend this product. Unfortunately I’ve just gone over a month of having it so I can no longer return it.

Terrible iv been looking for a good shaver for my head and am still looking i cut my head very short then went over with this took bits off here and there never use again

Best features must be the pop up side trimmer and the outer casing which is finished in an attractive gold with engraved surfaces almost "Steampunk" in appearance.rechargeable by USBc fitting and a great outside display that tells you the state of charge.Cuts very close and the noise level is perfectly acceptable.With the addition of the handy side pop up trimmer you have a very useful shaver in a nice package.Cost wise It represents fair value for money.

A solid shaver!Body is made from metal so feels like a premium product rather than cheap plasticPersonally not keen on the gold design but it doesn't take away from how effective the shaver is.It's easy to hold and has a pretty decent cut. The motor has two different speeds but there isn't much of a difference between the two.A great battery life, lasts a while before needed to be re charged again.
