Saved me... Literally!!!
Gave this a 5star because it has saved me again!! I accidentally took a dose of my med 8 hours too soon because another med was to be taken every 4 hours! This was my fault for changing the colors for my scripts when I got the new set in! Thankfully I recognized the mistake within15 minutes and called the pharmacy!! They told me what to do for the next 4 hours in case I was to have accidentally overdosed!! Needless to say, I immediately changed meds back to original colors I was using so it never happens again!!The only thing I do not like about this one is that the "child proof" cap is already permanently attached. My last set, it gave me the option to add if I chose to do so. Also, I find that if these ones aren't closed to a certain *pressure*, they do not start the timer. The timer will also sometimes stop if the bottle gets tipped over! I went back to my old bottles for my heavy duty narcotics and use these now only for other specific meds that are not controlled/extended release.I do love that on the cap I can write how often to take each medication-6, 8, 12 hrs etc...! They give you the option to also write the medication. I just take the tag off the pharmacy bottle and stick it to the bottles they provide.... I've even had the pharmacy give me a second label just for this! I need to know when they were filled and when I am due for the next script! The timer caps have not fit any of my bottles from Walgreens!100% recommended this compared to caps that tell you what time you last took your meds! When I am tired and in excruciating pain I do not have it in me to math and figure out the time for next dose! Worth every penny spent!!****edited to add/change... I found out it was MY error and why the caps sometimes wouldn't work! Turned out I used the new caps on the old bottles. Once I got that straightened out, all was good! Even if I accidentally knocked over a bottle! The timers in the last batch are now starting to die and will be ordering them again! BEST PRODUCT OUT THERE... literally a LIFESAVER!!

Unable to tighten, Lid pops off
I have start by saying I have been using this companies product for as long as I can remember (like 10 plus years thats how far by email goes and I have an order placed in 2015) and I ordered some new ones because the batteries had finally died and these models were not exactly replaceable due to them being like the first generation.I had high hopes for these new ones but unfortunately those hopes crashed, it is impossible to tighten the lid, if you try to put the lid on tight or even semi tight it just pops off completely, I would say its far from child proof because of this, and like most people I keep my medication in the bathroom and I dont think I can even get it tight enough where I would feel confident it would keep moisture out which is a must for medication.I did try the cap on a HUGE bottle that Caremark sent me like 3 tiny pills in for some stupid reason and the cap got nice and tight so it seems like the plastic bottles they come with are the issue and are just bad, either way they are unusable which is disappointing, I have have recommended these caps to sooooo many people over the years but now I will have to tell people to stay awayUpdate 1/16/2025TimerCap company does not answer emails no even from their website directly. After lots of research the flaw is not the bottle its the cap, it is where they cut slits in the cap which I can only assume serve 2 reasons, easy assembly and for child resistance. The problem is those slits cut through the threads removing all structural integrity allowing the cap to flare out and or deform, I don't have children so if I could get a hold of them I would be perfectly happy with a regular cap with no slits cut in it but there is no way to contact them. It's a shame a company I have been using for 10+ years and have been loyal to has lost all quality control and customer service.

A Potential lifesaver
Have you ever remembered holding a pill bottle that you take on an as needed basis, and then you got distracted by a phone call or a person at the door or something else going on in your house or anything and then you can’t remember did I take the pill or didn’t I well the time cap tells you how long ago you last took the cap off so you know whether you took it four hours ago or eight hours ago or not at all to save battery life after 100 hours the display goes blank. The trick is getting them to match up with the pill bottles that your pills come in and if you can’t do that, then you can buy them along with a set of pill bottles. personally, I like the half sized pill bottles because you can fit more into a small case or a bag since they take up less room. You have the option to make it more senior, friendly or more child safe and the only negative I would mention is that changing the battery is not always super easy but it’s not that difficult and you get used to it. A small flathead screwdriver often helps just to be able to bend the metal up to get the old battery out.

Batteries don’t last forever, replacement is a crapshoot
The bottle caps tell you how long it was since you last opened it. For tablets I take twice a day at the 12 hour make open take tablet, close and it’s starts at zero. Excellent if you take multiple pills at different intervals. The downside is the batteries will die eventually and are not difficult to replace. That being said about half the time the timer doesn’t work after you replace the battery because the parts are so small and finicky. Expect the battery to go dead in 6-8 months with continuous use. Worth it to avoid an accidental overdose on your medication.

Excellent product
Works perfectly. Been using this item for several years and became concerned when I no longer found it available for purchase for a period of time. As a result, I had to figure out how to change the battery on the caps that I already have. Not difficult, but read the instructions. Battery lasts a long time. Now that it is available again, I reordered.
