As Wangyuanji is a time-honored brand from China, I definitely can understand how they stood the test of time. The cast iron woks are really well made, with a beautiful hammered designed on the metal. The weight is nicely distributed and the size is perfect for small stir-fries for 2 people. The instructions provided were clearly written and describes the dos-and-don't for this wok, as it is made of cast iron, and how to set it up for its use first time out of the box. The handle to the wok was easy to install and feels excellent on the hands, with the ergonomics being not just a simple straight cylinder. The stamp and the metal accent were nice touches that I noticed and appreciated.As the wok is made of cast iron, proper care is needed to maintain the seasoning on it. The wok does come seasoned out of the box so it is a must to follow the detailed instructions provided to maintain that seasoning. The seasoning out of the box worked well so I was able to fry an egg in it without it sticking.I appreciate how this kit comes with a spatula, a wooden lid, a microfiber cloth, and a wok cleaning sponge. The spatula feels nice quality as well as it is made with metal and carries some weight. The wooden lid is an uncommon sight but it does store very nicely when not in use. The wok cleaning sponge is made of wood pulp so it is different than normal big box branded sponges where it is made with some sort of plastic.Overall, Wangyuanji stands up to its name and I am very happy with my cast iron wok. I look forward to incorporating it in my kitchen arsenal and would most likely put it to frequent usage.

Love the size and quality of this wok I have larger steel woks but this one is perfect for prepping a meal for two. Easily sits on cook tops with no ring required the wooden handle keeps your hands safe while prepping a quick meal.The cast iron distributes the heat where it's needed and it's easy to season an maintain a nonstick finish and it's heavy construction means that I'll be using it for years to come.Great product highly recommended for those wanting a versatile easy to use wok for one or couples..

It’s hand crafted and it comes with a wood lid and a spatula. This is one of their smaller sized woks and it’s like a pot at 8 ½ inches in diameter. It’s smaller than a traditional round bottom woks that have a large wide opening, but it’s good for making one or two portions of stir fry for a couple of people or it works very well for deep frying or cooking soups and stews.The wok is solid cast iron and it has a good handle that’s firmly attached so you can work the wok without the heat getting through. The wood lid fits fairly tightly to keep the contents warm before serving.The manufacturer says the wok has been seasoned, but you’ll need to do your own seasoning before its first use. There is an instruction booklet to tell you how to do the seasoning in the set. There are also a bunch of YouTube videos to take you though it as well.All in all, it’s a fine addition to your kitchen to prepare stir fry and such for one or two people.

It should be pointed out very heavily this wok is, cast iron. Which require different ways of handling and care. Great thing is this company provides an extremely well in-depth instruction guide with diagrams and pictures! That I would suggest very strongly be read, if you're not familiar with cast iron and how seasoning works or things to avoid.The wok itself is great quality evident with its weight and the hand forged hammer pattern. The wok handle is really beautifully well crafted wood with a brass accent and an interesting screw into design keeping it secure. Similarly the iron spatula is well crafted and suited for heavy duty as the whole spatula spans into the handle you can tell when hitting it making it very sturdy. It's shaped very well for the wok with its curvature design makes it feel natural to use. The wood for the iron spatula is nice feels natural, but not as impressive as the one on the wok. Also has a small silicone lip above the handle, not exactly sure what that's for but it helps keep the handle leveled and in place. The full wood lid is of beautiful quality too and a nice touch giving a more authentic feel.Overall, i'm happy with everything as it's sturdy and quality handmade items which shows it's clear the company cares and is heavily invested in teaching proper care for these handmade items.

This pot is impressively heavy, likely made of cast iron, which speaks to its excellent quality. It feels durable and built to last. However, it’s a bit smaller than I expected, which limits its capacity. Still, a great piece if you’re looking for something sturdy and reliable!
