Perfection!!!
Update:After owning and using it for about two years the price that keeps the blade closed has loosened so now it will open unassisted. I have stopped carrying it for now because of this but still love the knife and plan on purchasing another it has held up well considering the life it lived and have no regrets. I would and will buy again.Original :It comes very sharp but that's like buying a car because the tank is full.I oiled it and opened it a few times and it has snapped open fast and clean ever since. The blade is very strong and holds its edge very well. It came packaged and the torsion bar took a few opens to get its spring back also common in a new knife it is thin so it took a few minutes to get opening it smoothly down but was not an issue after five minutes now it takes all of a second or two to have it out of pocket and opened. One handed closures need a bit of finesse due to the back lock and assisted open but you should have it down to a second or two in a half hour of working with it and the grooves on top of the blade help tremendously and work great if using a fire starter. The knife is thin it is called the slim Jim so it is no surprise it is just over two quarters (the coin) tall and four and a half quarters (the coin again)long so stack them out and that's it's size.I'm very found of it and would buy it again I also bought the slim Jim xl they are very discrete and is only visible by the clip it holds up very well and I use it as one of my EDC but know that it's not for breaking down doors hammering nails or anything extremely nuts it's a sleek looking sharp blade perfect for cutting and having the peace of mind that your carrying a high quality blade and not worried about every one else knowing it.The safety on the back is great I love locking it when it's open and having the peace of mind that it won't close on my hand like I have had happen with linear lock knives I prefer the back lock I also lock it closed most of th time so there is no worries of it opening in my pocket or my kids opening it should it fall out of my pocket. There is not one down side I can think of and the tanto tip is one of the best I have seen in awhile. All that being said look into what your looking for in a knife this is a EDC (every day carry) for a lot of people but not everyone if it's right for you there is no better but any knife needs to be cared for and adjusted just because you bought a ferrari doesn't mean you don't move the seat or adjust the mirrors.Enjoy your new knife I know I am.(Update)Well I love this knife so much I bought another and gave one to my brother he works in an office and loves how discrete it is and me being outside more love how well it holds up. The edge is like new and it snaps open fast every time even after I get it full of dirt and other debris. This is one of my favorite knives EVER I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Great knife READ BELOW
Had this knife for 3 years now. Felt like i needed to leave review. I have multiple knives, Of all different sorts. This knife has been my edc singe i got it. Fits in my pocket so well and doesnt feel like anythings their. Perfect fir my lightweight pants and shorts that a bulky knife would tugg down. Perfectly comfortable in pocket and hand. I use this knife few times a day for 3 years abd it is still good as new. I use my pocket sharpener on it once in that time and strop ita couple times in this time. Knife is to this day razor sharp. It is not loose or wiggly or feel like it is falling apart. Still like new! I oil it with olive oil here and there and it keeps the opening assist working very good. Push it a little with ur thumb and it springs open and locks into place. So if u are ine haveing trouble with the assist l. Dont forget to oil your knife to keep it working like new. I have had zero problems with the spine lock or blade lock and trust this knife 100%. Thank you sog and thanks for reading my review. I do not get anything for my review but was troubled by some of the reviews i read since i have had this for years and it has been so good to me.

Great blade, great daily carry but the knife is ...
Great blade, great daily carry but the knife is almost too skinny... When trying to trigger the assisted opening your fingers have no where to grip to get enough torque to trigger it. Maybe I just have big hands but it is difficult to pull out of your pocket and flick it open very fast. I think I am going to buy a non assisted open so I can just flick my wrist. It is a great knife to carry around as it is so slim but I haven't found it to be very easy to access as the blade lock is also consistently locking upon drawing no matter how I pull it out. 4 stars on design but 5 stars on being what is says it is- a sturdy, slim, good looking knife.

great blade, great value.
Comes amazingly sharp from the factory. Also the light weight and low profile of it can be a bit surprising. The opening action is pretty stiff initially, but I'm assuming it'll get smoother at it wears in. With the speed of the open-assist springs, that stiffness is almost a safety feature, though; I definitely wouldn't want a knife this sharp opening even partially in a pocket.Overall a very impressive piece of EDC gear for those who don't have restricted environments. Especially impressive at this price point. The blade is definitely too light for heavy prying or more punishing treatment, but that should be obvious from simply looking at it. If you need something that can be used for that kind of application, Camillus and Kabar make some good heavy-duty folders; most of my SOG gear (including some fixed blades) has always tended to be on the lightweight/thinner side of the spectrum, understand the job you're looking to do before selecting the tool and you're less likely to be dissapointed.

A little different but a good knife.
The knife comes super sharp and looks great. Carries well in your pocket. You almost forget it's there. It is a little weird to open at first. Too much thumb and it won't lock but it only takes a little while to get used to. I'd buy it again. But second to the sog access card 2.0

Perfect for EDC
For years I have been using a Smith and Wesson homeland security as my every day carry. I had no problem with the size or anything really except that the rotating joint was finaky. I have even carried a few Kershaws and a Benchmade. I was looking for a new knife and I stumbled across this knife being reviewed by Nutnfancy on YouTube. Once I saw it I fell in love with it. He didn't review the tanto version but it's basically the same other that the blade shape. It's light, sharp, thin (Like really thin), and it's spring assisted. No it's not illegal. It fits perfectly in a pocket and the pocket clip it great. No amount of movement will make the pocket clip lose its grip. It's my new EDC knife and I love it!
