An upgrade of 2013 that completely removes 2013 !!
I'm a trainer and developer in Excel so I know this software rather well. I went for the download installation and it installed without issue - however....As I work with many clients, using many versions of Office - my laptop had 2010 and 2013 on it. When you install this 2016 it completely removes 2013 from your computer - without warning and without asking. This is software that I purchased - what right do Microsoft have to just delete it? Do I get a refund?Thankfully I'd done my research and knew it was going to do this, so I created a dual boot partition on my computer onto which I installed a copy of 2010 and 2013 - so I still have it.As for the software itself, Microsoft have a histroy (with both Windows and Office) of releasing a bug-filled rubbish version (that we buy and beta test for them) and then they release a good one. Office 2010 was the good one, 2013 was the rubbish one, and 2016 is the good one. It looks and feels and performs better than 2013 so I'm hoping they have ironed out the 2013 bugs and 'features'.So is it work upgrading? Not unless you need the few extra tweaks that 2016 has - which the vast majority of users simply won't use.

Good so far with easy, faultless installation
A cost effective way to get a GENUINE copy of Office 2016 directly from Microsoft. Many of the other super cheap deals out there really are too good to be true.2016 seems to run faster than 2013. Early days yet but I've not yet seen anything dramatically better in 2016. Installation worked very well. My existing Office 2013 install remains intact. To my amazement Outlook 2016 picked up all the settings from Outlook 2013 ... even plugins like GoToMeeting (my laptop is running Windows 10).Stating the obvious to some, but be aware that this software is downloaded over the Internet and it is large, 1GB+. The Amazon listing says 3KB, which is true for the small software loader that comes first but there is no mention of the much larger download that will follow. Just bear this in mind if you are on a slow and/or metered connection. You'll need to create a Microsoft Online account (if you don't already have one) to download but this process was prompted and very easy. You don't receive an actual licence key, so if you need to re-install at any point you'll need to log into your Microsoft Online account to re-download.

Great product at a good price
Once successfully activated it performed perfectly. This version gives me all the functionality I need at a great price. The only problem I had arose because I had installed it on a new HP laptop which came with a free 1 month subscription to Office 365. I waited until that license expired before installing the product with this key. Having done so, I continued to get warnings when opening documents and spreadsheets indicating that my license had expired. I fixed this by uninstalling all components of the 365 product and going through the activation process again. It would have been helpful if there had been some indication on this product or on the MS website that uninstalling the 365 trial version was necessary before installing one of the '1 PC' versions of the product. I did look quite hard for some guidance on the MS site beforehand but they seem very keen on users keeping the version for which they get paid annually. Quelle surprise. I can't think of any reason why anyone would choose to pay more to wait for the license key to be sent to them rather than downloading it immediately.

Its all there, but outlook and google synchronisation is poor.
I have been using office since early windows days and have seen it go through many changes. It is still fundamentally an updated version of office 2007 - I still think office 2010 was better than 2013, but time moves on and I may find 2016 is favoured after more usage. As always, it takes time to find things you have used, but as far as I can tell it is all there. With time I may well find new useful features, or something missing. One question you may ask is which version to buy? In win10, there is a reasonable calendar and email program so the need for Outlook is questionable. In addition synchronising calendars and contacts to Gmail still has to be done via 3rd party software, which is a pain. It should not be beyond Microsoft and Google to sort this out as this significant flaw has been here far too long.

MS Office 16 - Generally Very Good with a few foibles.
My PC crashed and I was unable to download a replacement Windows Live Mail as it is no longer supported. Very disappointing as that was the only real issue. This product seems to be OK (I had Office 2007 before) and the MS Outlook takes me back to my MS Exchange days - Outlook is very good if not a little expensive.Microsoft Word has some anomalies versus 2007. The page sizing changes if you save Word 2007 files in Word 2016 mode (even though both are docx) - that meant that a large document had to be repaginated and adjusted - quite a big job. The other thing was that when looking at a Word 2007 file converted to a .pdf, the .pdf had thin, white horizontal lines running across the text and photographs. When I did the same with a Word 2016 version it was clear. So it doesn't seem to be to be that backward compatible. There may be some configuration changes I can make to resolve these issues, but I haven't found them so far. There are subtle changes, mainly positive, throughout Word, Excel and Powerpoint and one or two significant ones - the picture editing in MS Word is certainly a step forward, lessening the need for other third party editing tools..

Very simple installation
Although I have retired I do unpaid work on various ISO Standards projects. Having retired my old Home Use Program copy of Office was no longer valid so needed to be replaced. I was delighted to find that when I uninstalled the old copy and installed the new license all my settings include my outlook mail boxes and archives were preserved saving me a ton of extra work. I do however think the price is high , were it not that I need to collaborate with others and use VBA automation I would have chosen another package such as Open Office.

Good product but activation is not easy
The product itself is fine but activation is a pain - when i tried to activate the product the supplied web page was down. Microsoft support were very poor and my product was finally activated after talks to 3 support staff over 3 days!
