Good chilling and not too noisey
Got this for our motorhome. This is the smallest aircon unit I could find. I cools very well, considering it's less than 1kW. The noise comes from the fan, which is not quiet, but I can't hear the chiller unit itself, and the noisy is constant so we were all able to fall asleep with it running. Nice options like run time to switch-off, fans only, 2 levels of fan speed, etc. Very happy I got this for 2018 summer in France - hot.

Decent little air con
I brought this as there are a couple of weeks where its too uncomfortable to sleep due to high nighttime temps. I brought 2 window kits as our windows open outwards andi ran it for 2 days during the recent record temps.vit didnt manage to reach 16 as it was set but really brought the temp down from 38 to around 20. Its portable enough that i can xarry it up and down the stairs linking to the window kits. Our rooms are around 3.5m x 4.5m. it was quiet enough to hear the tv.

Machine struggles with high temperatures.
Yesterday the temperature was in the thirties and this machine could not cope. Its fine if the max outside temp is 24c but anything higher and it acts more like a fan.Very noisy but you expect that from an air conditioner.I'm a bit disappointed to be honest.

Good value for money.
I can't agree with most reviews on here because I don't care about the noise as I won't be sleeping in the same room as it. At worst the noise is a semi loud fan with buzzing similar to my fridge, again not an issue. This review is for my second purchase of this air conditioner, well worth it as you can't get more BTU for the money or less.

Does the job well.
Efficient and effective, this unit does what’s expected of it. No complaints.

Brilliant so far 👏
Been using this unit for one day now and so far brilliant. The noise level is actually quite quiet. I have a fan cooler and that makes more noise.I havnt tried sleep mode yet.The window seal kit that comes with the unit, does not fit normal UPVC windows that open outwards. It is designed for sash windows. So I had to buy another window kits.I only have a little flat and keeps my flat nice a cool. It's perfect. The unit is quite heavy though but it's on wheels which helps.

Too loud for an office environment
The fan is like having a dyson in the room with you running constantly, there's not really any option to make things quieter, & if sleep mode has any function at all I've yet to notice its effects. I'm unsure why the description advertises it can reach db levels of 52 db, when that just seems to be an out and out lie.At least it cools well, but I end up having to turn it off so I'm not creating massive background noise for video calls anyway and the noise gives me a headache, so it's not like it's doing me any favours, other AC's are far quieter and cool rooms of greater size, shop elsewhere. Not to mention it doesn't came with any fittings for swing open windows so I'd have to buy a separate attachment for that.

Dodgy and ignorant company
I bought the 5,000 BTU after speaking to an agent who told me that the 5,000 BTU was appropriate for my 3mx3m room and would cool to 16c.Now I have Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy at 26mm, anything at 15mm+ puts you are risk of sudden death syndrome, and I suffer badly with the heat. I can no longer work, so money is tight. The unit arrived with a scuff mark, no booklet and made me wonder if it was a returned unit. Anyway, I sealed my window with a kit so as to not have air-flow and plugged up any gaps.On my indoor/outdoor weather station my indoors read 25c and outdoors was 21c and rising, so I turned on the unit. While the outside rose to 24c in the shade, but much hotter direct, my room cooled to 21c, but no lower, and that took 3 hours.I wondered if I should have an 8,000 BTU, so I e-mailed the company, proposed to pay the difference and could they collect the 5,000 when they delieved the 8,000.An easy request, but no, they told me they have to treat these as two seperate transactions.Worse was they suggested I use ice-packs.Now this is my first a/c unit, without an instruction booklet, but as far as I can see this is a self-evaporating unit as I cannot see where to put a water tray and certainly no place for ice-packs.From now on, I'm going to buy large goods, such as chairs, televisions, computers, etc, from local shops and just knock this whole amazon go between on the head.I'll make do with it for this year, and get a nice proper one from a local supplier (not amazon) next year.
