Not bad but a bit cheaply made
Previously bought a 3m triangle sun sail last year (from a different company) for the conservatory roof and was very happy with it. As the season changed, I realised I needed a second one to cover the other side so bought this Kookaburra one.It is a scalloped triangle instead of an equilateral triangle and does depict this in the picture and diagrams. This would mean it would be difficult to cut it up and tailor it to the roof. The fabric wasn’t the tough tent-like material and it was more treated fabric (no matter it’s not going outside).I noticed that on the pre-stitched hems (see pics), the fray was showing a lot in places and the hem itself was twisted which is a reflection on the stretch of the fabric on the scallop and being unable to create a square hem when stitching. When I started cutting the material, it did fray a lot and I must say I stitched a better hem than the manufacturers. The sail is now up and looks ok (you be the judge; I have put up a picture). It obviously doesn’t cover as much area as the other due to lack of material because of the scallop and the (very long) corners. I’m not sure why the manufacturers choose the scallop shape because it is harder to sew and there is more material waste. In comparison to the original sail (on the left) it is more transparent so I will be interested to see when we eventually get some sun, if it deals with the glare through the glass roof as well as the original sail.Note that I have not used the sail as intended so can’t comment on waterproofing or installation, however the string supplied is very thick and good quality but it isn’t all that long. It’s not bad for the price but the first one was the same price and that is a lot better made and had D rings on the corners.

Great addition to my garden seating area
Though I only fit this during spring/summer months, I live right next to the sea, with regular sea breezes and the kite takes this all in its stride. Would recommend as a quality addition to any garden and a perfect alternative to parasols etc (providing you have three anchor points, with at least 1 at height).

Use in my conservatory. Done the job of restricting sunlight.

Disappointing
Indifferent quality, poor stitching, lovely colour.

Adds class to the patio.
Easy to install, looks fantastic and totally waterproof. Gives great shade to plants, the cat, and us. Top purchase for lazy days.

Size matters!
The item was delivered swiftly and arrived in perfect condition. However, when erected it was obvious that the area of shade was much too small to be practical. Not a criticism of the article but down to my inexperience of how much useful shade a 3m x 3m triangle provides. For a reasonable shaded area a much larger sail is required such as 5m x 5m - less than that size is not of any real practical benefit.

Fantastic shade, bought two to put up in conservatory
Fantastic shade, bought two to put up in conservatory. Remember you will have to buy a bag of fixings if you intend to put this up inside.we ordered the dDanke hooks 8pcs. I’m so pleased we managed to get these up before the very hot summer. They have kept us well shaded, if not exactly cool. Did not give 5star as not taken them down or tried to wash them yet. Would def buy again when these wear out.
