They seem to be good quality plastic but lack an easy way to anchor the cable in the top part. Otherwise good value for money and easy to install but don;t use a heavy shade as it may pull the cable out eventually.

Dangerous Garbage.
Do not buy these lampholders the plastic used to mount the spring loaded bulb contacts is super brittle and one shattered when I attempted to insert a bulb. This is a potentially dangerous and certainly useless product. It''s manufacturers should be deeply ashamed. I will buy no more electrical sundries from Amazon.

No Strain Relief?
There is only one discernible strain relief notch on each of the two fittings I ordered. Puts a lot of faith in tightening the screws to provide a secure fit. A heavy lampshade might prove a challenge. Wouldn't buy again.
