These are well used to help individuals see printed words (letters and numbers) more clearly when reading. We used them to help our Autistic son with his reading - without them, letters appear to jumble together.In this set, there are 16 different coloured strips, each with a ruled line that can be positioned under the words being read. Each colour causes the eyes to see slightly differently and colours can be combined to give a greater chance of success. Each strip is individually wrapped and all are stored in a plastic pouch. It is trial and error to find a colour (or combination) which helps, but it is worth it to help reading (I have a friend with a 26 year old who uses a coloured sheet to help combat eye fatigue). A good set and worth the investment to help.

I've had Dyslexia my entire life, however it was not formally recognised until after my exams, I sincerely wish something like this was made available whilst I was at school as it really does help to maintain focus and reduce the visual distortions. I've actually found that I am able to read and work much longer before feeling as tired.The ruler helps with wondering eye and to keep your place whilst reading. The colours do not seem to have any effect on my however others may find the different colours more beneficial the one thing that did help was having a colour that is different to the page and that was roughly about a paragraph deep to me it did not matter on what colour although some I found to be more relaxing then others.This is obviously not a cure but an aid which I've found to help. I would definitely recommend them and yes you can use them on your electric devices too.

I've used overlays for years but never seen small ruler strike ones. These are far better for reading a book or smaller printed items. Easy to use and have a nice line to follow. You get a whole range of colours in a study storage pouch. Well worth the money. Very high quality and clarity too.

The set of overlays that I received is exactly like the one described and photographed in the listing. This set is perfect to keep in the classroom, as all of your pupils’ colour overlay needs are met, not just the most common colours. These are a really handy size for reading most classroom texts such as text on a vertical sheet of A4 paper. The line on the overlay helps pupils to keep track of which line they are on. The overlay will cover a whole paragraph at once. Overall, I would recommend this set to other teachers.

We are delighted with the size of these coloured overlays. They are large enough to be able to see whole paragraphs at a time, without being too unwieldy. There is a a line across each overlay to enable you to position them precisely. The overlays are very useful for dyslexia and many other learning disabilities. Good value for money.
