Q: Is the cup plastic? Also, it says insulated; how and with what? Wish these had stainless steel cups. Don't like to add/breathe hot water in plastic

It is all plastic. It doesn't stay hot very long.

Q: Is this an electrical device or one that you need to add hot water to each time? Thanks

There is no electricity/heating element used in this Steam Inhaler Cup. You will need to provide the hot water. Although it is essentially just a "plastic" cup with a cover that has a hole in the top and a directional shield added, it can be handy to use. Having 2 handles that don't get hot helps with control for safest use as well as the cover with a restricting hole to help prevent splashes while moving/carrying (as opposed to using your coffee cup for example). Best uses are at the office or when traveling. At home it is tough to beat a pot of boiling water and a large towel to drape over your head. For more effective use in cases like a sinus infection or a cold, you might add a few drops of an appropriate pure essential oil after you have filled it with the hot water. I have found this product useful and am pleased that I purchased it.

place hot water in cup, add eucalyptus oil if desired, cover, add nasal cup and inhale steam filled with eucalyptus (or just steam); alternatively inhale directly from open cup
