A throwback to the days when communication was an art and folks would wait eagerly for the mail to arrive, a wax seal might contain a family crest, or even a royal seal showing the sender's station in life.Although this form of correspondence is mainly a lost art with today's instant communications, it's easy to add a touch of elegance to your invitations, announcements, holiday cards, or special correspondence with these attractive monogram wax stickers.They are a nice gold color, not brassy or cheap looking, with crisp embossing and strong adhesive. The wax used seems to be a high quality, almost looking like plastic. I had no question of the quality here, but I did question the Post Office's automated handling of letters with a raised area like these seals, so I mailed one to myself fastened to a standard business envelope. While this wouldn't duplicate the many hops of an item mailed across a distance, I am happy to report my test arrived back here in pristine condition.

I have wax bars and metal stamps that I can use to make real seals but it is messy and doesn’t always turn out looking very nice. These seals are perfect and come with a sticky backing so you can just press them onto an envelope or whatever. They look nice and come in a plastic storage case. The next thing I want to try is heating it slightly with a hairdryer to see if I can slightly melt the edges for a more authentic look, hopefully without messing up the central design. But even without that, these seals add an elegant touch to cards that you are handing to a recipient; I would never try sending this through the postal system.
