Cover screen split in two
Nice phone with fast charging and good battery life.Cover screen a let down.It is split in 2 with apps on one side only so not like a 4 inch screen.Only a few apps and widgets work on the cover screen.Going to see if I can work around this issue but I've got a feeling I will be sending the phone back.

Avoid!
The outer screen is unusable, it's constantly changing if it wants to be up or down. The camera performance is quite poor too. Notifications don't really come through even when I've changed the settings as well.Definitely wouldn't recommend the lack of an official IP rating and wireless charging also is a deal breaker

Quite expensive
This phone is a really good phone, but I would not buy it as it is very expensive and I do not have a spare £1000 to pay on it. If you do however, it is a nice phone, that is easy to hold and fits nicely in your pocket. It has a really good screen that is easy to read and also using to use.

What an experience... Good and bad.
I have been using this phone for about a week now.Funnily enough, I was planning on buying a Xiaomi phone the exact same day that I was offered this phone to review... So I quickly snapped this one up!My previous phone (before the mix flip) was a Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. the Note 11 was an absolutely brilliant phone but as with most androids, the updates come few and far between the older the phone gets and this in turn, with the continuous updates of the 3rd party apps, slows the phone down. But I had bought that phone for £199 new. It was an absolutely incredible phone for the price, hence why I planned to buy a newer model Xiaomi before being offered the mix flip.---The flip design:The mix flip is possibly the most fascinating phone I have ever owned. It takes me back to the flip phone era. When it rings, I flip up to answer. When I need to hang up, I close the phone. I can also answer the phone in the closed position. I honestly thought the flip was going to be the biggest gimmick going. 'Why do I need to flip the phone closed', I thought. I am ok with a large phone and have never had any issues with a large tall phone in my pocket. It's so nice that it folds to a short, (but a welcomed) thick phone. I am aware that it is in my pocket but it does not stand as tall as my pockets. It is actually a very similar size to my card wallet.---The software:I have always liked the features on Xiaomi but since HyperOS, it has even more features. The most noticeable one is the wallpaper customisation.I use nova launcher as my software front. This is not testament to the native OS. I have used it on all androids due to the customisation. The stock native software of the mix flip is obviously android so the native OS is logical and easy to use if you plan to move from another android phone. Its just a more feature rich OS compared to the older android versions and as this is the latest flagship model phone, it's updates (should) be supported for a couple years at least and have regular security updates. No issues with the battery. With my personal light app usage, the battery can last up to two days on a single charge. But a 67W charger, which is supplied, charges the phone in about an hour, so it really isn't too much of a hassle if the battery lasts less.---The camera:What an incredible camera. This phone has partnered with Leica which I have had on my previous Huawei P20 pro. Knowing how nice the camera was on the P20 pro, I was confident that this phone would have a great camera. The specs of the camera are comparable to an iPhone, which (pains me to say because I am an android man) have extraordinary cameras. The photos taken on this phone are amazing. The colours and the clarity of the photos are exactly what I expected on a flagship phone with Leica partnership. See a few of the photos attached to the review. Hopefully the photos post in full quality. Photos of the phone were taken on my Note 11 pro but all other photos taken by the Mix Flip. Very pleased.---Build quality:This instantly feels like a premium phone when taken out of the box. It feels slightly weighty but when folded, the weight is welcomed. I do worry about the front glass but I have to believe that this phone was designed with a strong glass as it is obviously exposed. When open, the hinge is solid. The phone does not flop about. It's like a standard non-flip phone. When closed, I noticed a little wobble. It would feel nicer if it didn't but I am not sure on the hinge design so cannot determine what makes it wobble slightly. The case in the photos was not supplied. A case is supplied with the phone but it is a kind of textured plastic and feels slippery. I prefer this fake leather cover is it is coloured and slightly grippier.---The flip (bend line):The phone when in use is pleasant. The bend on the main screen can be seen when the background is light or if the ambient light is bright. It can be felt as a dimple in the screen but it's not any issues at all. It's not a deep dimple. It's not noticeable when in use and you'll forget it's there after a while.---Cost:It's a lot of money. More money than I would have ever paid for a phone. But it is the first flip phone Xiaomi has released and for that, they have done an extremely good job and I can see how this phone has its place in the market. It definitely has and will continue to have a place in my pocket.---Quick overview:I love the design. I spend most of my time using the smaller screen as it's easier to use one handed and it allows me to use my frequent daily apps. No need to use the main screen in the day.The camera is incredible. This is a flagship phone with an extremely good camera. The software is HyperOS so is fast and modern. It's very fast and very responsive. The build quality is great. It has a very very slight wobble when closed but not sure why. Maybe it's result of the design. Bo wobble at all when open. It's a lot of money. But money aside, this phone truly is a flagship.Review written based on my experience with the phone thus far. Although I was gifted the phone by Amazon, this review is completely unbiased and honest.*** UPDATE AFTER 6 WEEKS OF USE ***The phone has developed an area of failed pixels along the bend line of the device.I understand that there will be a fallout of failure and I may have been unlucky. The customer service process has its ups and downs. They are very quick at analysing the device but are not excellent at following their own policies because this device was bought through Amazon.I requested an exchange (where I pay the difference) to the 14 ultra. This is not supported because this phone was bought through Amazon. So, it's a battle now in trying to upgrade to a non-bendy phone at my own cost because I have now lost confidence in it. As much as I do love the phone, it's features, camera and design, my fallout failure has put me off and the resolution has annoyed me.Just for clarity, this phone comes with a free 1 time screen replacement in case of personal accident... The customer service not currently accepting any other method than replacing the screen with my one time replacement because they are not accepting that the issue comes from hardware issues and not personal damage. So, I have escalated to management and now need to wait 1 day for each reply to my email that I send minutes after receiving.Currently dropped to 3 stars. The phone drops to 4 stars but the customer service drags this down to 3 stars. I will update the review when I have a firm update from the customer service team.

Love it
I've have this phone for about 3 months now and so far my experience has been very good, I do recommend.Battery life:Very good it last around two whole days or 1 full day if I use it a lot (social media, tiktok, Spotify, Google maps, use the camera, etc )Charging: is super fast gets to 100% in around 40 minutes.Camera:Very good has a lot of settings if you know how to use them in the pro mode or stay with default settings it has a very good quality camera, the defuault settings are very good for portraits, outdoor scenes, and regular for low lighting environments such as concerts, but if you learn how to use it it can get very good photos. The videos are great quality day or night. And the possibility of duplicate the screen when taking photos is very useful so the other person can see themselves as well.Physically it feels light and delicate so of course you need a case (it comes with one but I want to get one that doesn't feel so slippery) and I got a screen protector for both screens, I just dropped it once accidentally and nothing happened, but still I think it has to be treated very carefully.Inside screen: you can actually feel the flip but it does not affect, after a few days using it you wouldn't notice anymore.Running apps: I don't personally use a lot of games or heavy applications except for maybe Pokémon go, which runs perfectly, no slow or freezing, and you can have several apps open without any issues.Outside screen: not all apps can run in the small screen but most of the popular apps can (fb, twitter, tiktok, Instagram, YouTube, pokemon go, Spotify) plus the system like clock, weather or Google chrome navigator, or Google maps. However I've noticed that if you only use the small screen for a long time you can get freezing issues or performance issues, when that happens it helps to go back to the main screen, maybe close some apps and go back. So is not perfect but it doesn't happen a lot, only after a long time of using different apps in the small screen.Plus: you can put two SIM cards very useful if you travel or have a business or second number.I'm general I think is a very good phone and with good quality, is not cheap but is value for the money you pay, after all any flip phone is around the same price.I added a couple of pictures as example of it's camera.
