As far as the mouthpiece protecting gums from any burning sensitivity the tray works perfect, practically as good as expensive custom made trays that have to be mailed back. But the Easy Breathe Ventilation patented holes are useless. Immediately they are covered over when attaching the light and then more so when excess saliva plugs them almost completely, plus breathing gel gasses probably isn't very healthy. You still have to breath through your nose. The Easy Breathe Ventilation holes do make the tray extra thick, which is an advantage making bite pressure less strenuous, although a little gagging may occur. I do appreciate the built in 10 minute timer. Attaching the light is best done after the tray is clenched by your teeth.

I don’t believe the light has helped the whitening process. The gel and tray did the same amount of whitening without the light.

Great product especially for the price, I’ve used it 5 time already and notice a difference in my teeth. It’s so cool that the light is self timed so you know when it’s been 10 minuets. I use it for 20 at a time since it recommends 10-30 minuets.

I feel like this description was carefully worded to imply that the gel was included. It is not. Now I've got to buy the gel separately, even though it's part of the product demonstration video.

1) This kit contains NO gel. I was very glad I purchased separately additional gel or I would have had none.2) This kit contains NO thermal custom tray. You do get a rather blocky rubber tray.3) This whitening works as advertised on my lower teeth. Unless you really chomp down, whitening for the upper teeth does not cover full tooth height. The thermal tray probably does a better job.4) Save a good deal of money and purchase the (non-Cali) 10-pack of 3 ml gel syringes (same peroxide but at 22%). I have attached link to these. It is not the 35% that comes from Cali but did a great job nonetheless. Quite white. Instead of 10 minutes go 15. Maybe did help gel develop quicker than without light. Easy fit, and easy to breathe from design. I purchased without gel pack or strips and did fine with own whitening gel. Remove plastic for batteries to make contact-as per instructions.

It's not bad, but I thought it was going to be better than I thought.
