Classy posh toast. Go on then..
I bought this on sale and had high expectations given the price. It's a really beautiful toaster. Modern and clean, but when it powers on, it lights up and you can see the toast as clear as day.The toaster fits only two slices unfortunately which is a shame but seems to be a consequence of these clear toasters. Perfect for me having a small family, but not great for bigger families I should imagine. Now, let's get one thing straight. This is a toaster. It toasts. Nothing more. However it does so very well. I found though that anything over the lower settings will burn the bread very quickly so I've got it set at 2 which is perfect for me. It cooks quickly and looks amazing in use, and you can monitor the toasting process all the way due to the clear glass front and back. Ideal! Toast comes out nice and light and airy. Great for breakfast and the closest I've had to using an actual grill which is a total faff.I've had the toaster for about 4 months now and it's been used more or less daily. I've cleaned it once in that time and to be honest it didn't really need that, but it's very easy. Both the front and back glass pieces open to give access to clean internally and the long crumb tray catches everything. It took about a minute to do and looks spotless again.Overall, it's an expensive luxury item. I think it's well worth it. It looks amazing and is now a permanent feature in the kitchen rather than being hidden away like our old toaster. Toast does taste nicer as well. No complaints and I love this toaster.

bread tanner
This is an expensive toaster - but no dearer than an Italian brand that my friends have which often incinerates rather than toasts. It has a really wide single slot for thicker items and takes two large slices of bread comfortably. It does not launch the newly toasted bread into space and bread does not get stuck in the slot. Easy to use and keep clean - perfect toast every time. And it comes with a long guarantee. If, like me, you like to start the day with toast and tea, and have the cash - it's a clear winner.Update: almost 10 months later still performing it's 'daily bread' routine perfectly. I tend to clean it weekly making it look as new as the days I got it.Further update: One of my biggest problems with my previous toaster was how difficult it was to keep free of breadcrumb residue - which carbonates by the week, month year. This toaster has a mechanism which enables the glass sides to drop down for easier cleaning - no more holding a toaster upside-down and shaking to try release the overtoasted grime.Even further update: Toaster still performing as well the day I bought it almost 2 years ago.Yet even further update: Still no problems with this Rolls Royce of toasters - my friend's Italian brand toaster is now toast itself.Third anniversary - nothing to report - still no problems = working perfectly even under almost daily usage.Saw a review by Which? in which they said the see through nature of the toaster could be off putting - you can see all the crumbs. I put them right by saying it was the easiest toaster to keep clean and has a very effective crumb tray.Fourth anniversary and still working perfectly even with daily use. Encouraged me to buy another Magimix product - their brilliant 'Le Blender'Fifth anniversary and nothing to report - really magic.Sixth anniversary - easily outlasted every toaster I have owned or used. Just as good as the day it was first plugged in.Eight anniversary. Still as good as the day I first used it. This is not a product - it’s an investment!Ninth anniversary or am I losing track of time. Still works brilliantly and gets used every single day. So easy to keep clean - low maintenance. Not sure if it’s still in production but then I won’t need to replace it!Lost count now of how many years of consistent, almost daily, usage and still going strong. Amortising the cost over the number of years of use, this is a very cheap toaster. Over 12 years of constant use has not phased this brilliant toaster. In that time the price has only increased by £10.Thirteen years on and one of the elements has given out. It is repairable but I just might just buy an other one. So, amortised that’s £12 a year. For an appliance that was used pretty much daily, that’s a good return.

Best toaster
I have bought another Magimix Vision toaster, after my previous one got broken after a house move.I think that one had already lasted 18 years with regular useThe ability to see the toast is very useful, and not a gimmickAesthetics are great. Toasting functions work fineIf my new one breaks, I’d still buy yet another. Expensive, but the quality shines through

Love it so much better than the conventional toaster
Brilliant, toaster easy to clean doesn’t get so dirty. You can see it as it toasts. Buns and crumpets fit nicely and you can turn on to just toast one side or two if you want. It’s expensive, but you have to take into account that it’s guaranteed for three years parts and labour so if you go through toasters like I did, it’s well worth paying the extra money it’s also toasting in half the time. You can only get two slices in or three smaller slices, but as it toast so quick time you buttered your toast, your second lot will be done I won’t go back to the old stall toaster now

It’s Good but Not quite good enough.
If mankind can build a space station, and smash sub-atomic particles together under a Swiss mountain, and perform hand transplants, why, in the 21st century, can mankind still not build the perfect toaster?Over the last 50 years I’ve owned many different toasters. This is my first Magimix. It’s good. In fact it’s my favourite. But annoyingly, it still does not do the job properly. I attach four photos. What do I LIKE About This Toaster?(1) It’s very pretty.(2) With the glass walls, I can see exactly how the toast is getting along.(3) It pops up high, so I no longer have to unplug it and then excavate the toast out of the mechanism with a fork.(4) The numbers on the dial are clear and easy to read.(5) It toasts to the full height of the bread. All my previous toasters left the top half inch of the slice completely white.(6) I use bread straight from the freezer and the toast comes out chewy. I happen to like that, but I know other people would prefer crunchy toast. What do I DISLIKE?(1) It’s expensive.(2). The colour of the toast is uneven.

Watch the bread browning
This is absolute best toaster I have ever had. The browning is consistent. Literally the best thing since sliced bread. Worth every penny.

Best Toaster - without question!
I was searching for the Holy Grail of Toasters & have tried numerous toasters - at any cost. I thought I had found the perfect toaster when I purchased the Revolution toaster but for $270 it didn't make toast any better than a Cuisinart toaster. Then by chance I was able to try the Magimix toaster at an Air France Lounge. I was so impressed by the quality of the toast that I immediately ordered one from Amazon. What I love about the Magimix is the fact that it uses 4 Quartz elements to brown the bread by reflecting off of the glass. This impressive toaster features a standard setting and three extra settings at the push of a button: bagel, reheat, and defrost. The bagel setting toasts from only one side, reheat heats your toast without drying it out, and defrost will toast your frozen bread with ease. With 8 browning levels and an easy stop button, you'll always be satisfied with the taste and texture of your toast. You can even easily and safely remove smaller pieces of toast with the extra-lift lever. The toasting cycle indicator will illuminate when your toaster is in use, making it easy to check if your toast is finished from across the room. This toaster features quartz heating elements that offer consistent browning - just look at this slice of toast (Costco, Walnut & Cranberry) PERFECT, EVEN TOASTING! This is what I was seeking. Toast as it was meant to be.Here is some addition verbiage -The inner workings of this toaster aren't the only impressive feature; the outer workings are truly a piece of art. The attractive black design is beautiful on any countertop and is reminiscent of vintage-style toasters while adding a modern twist. This toaster is constructed from durable stainless steel with aluminum sides. Double-insulated glass windows open and close securely and with ease, making them easy to clean. The extra-large removable crumb tray allows you to toast even the flakiest bread without concern. To clean your toaster, simply slide out the extra-large capacity crumb tray to empty it, open and clean the windows with a slightly damp cloth, and wipe down the exterior. This beautiful and efficient toaster can handle any bread you would like to toast - brioche, ciabatta, pita, sourdough, and so much more. Whatever bread you're toasting, serve it at the perfect level of browning every time with the Magimix Vision Toaster!

Ausreichend Platz sollte also vorhanden sein.

Absoluter Luxus - bin total zufrieden.

Flashy and Functional
The Magimix Vision Toaster is definitely an extravagance, but dang if it isn't the coolest-looking toaster out there. My husband and I picked the all-stainless steel version instead of a color, because you never know... Our kitchen's color scheme might change over the years, and I'll splurge on something as trivial as a fancy toaster once, but not twice.Three best things about this toaster:1. The windows! Not only can you monitor your bread as it's toasting and pop it early if needed, but you can easily see when it needs cleaning. The windows fold out so that you can actually get inside the unit to clean it (although I haven't had to go that far just yet).2. The crumb tray! It actually does its job. For me, the most annoying thing about my past toasters was the way crumbs would find their way down into the body of the machine, never to be removed. You could clean the crumb tray regularly, turn them upside down and shake them, but they would still have tons of little crumbs rattling around inside. We've been using the Magimix Vision pretty regularly for five months now, and I've given it a shake now and then after removing the tray, but it's all quiet in there so far.3. The bagel setting! It's not some revelation that has changed the art of bagel-toasting; just turns on the heating elements in the front only. Still, it's a nice feature to have.Overall, it toasts bread nicely (and a little more evenly than the cheap toasters of old), it's easy to care for, and it's a simple machine to figure out. We purchased ours from BoschMixers at $249.95, which is definitely steep for a basic kitchen appliance, but we did buy it for looks first. The fact that it functions so well on top of its unique appearance is a pleasant second to discover.
