Up till now I'd always bought Morphy Richards jug-type soup makers, but always hated the weight of the lid (and trying to manage it while pouring out the soup, and then washing the lid (you have to keep hold of it). But this soupmaker is wonderful. There is no heavy lid, and although the auto wash works well, it's not essential as you can clearly see through the jug, so it's easy to clean. The jug is plastic, so it's beautifully light, but seems tough enough. I've only made soup so far (don't think i'll bother boiling eggs in it). I was nervous when reading the reviews on here, particularly with regard to electrical problems, so sought reviews on other sites, and only found good ones, so took the plunge! It is my favourite soup maker by far and I'm now using it daily as the weather changes.

Much easier to use for my aging mother in law to lift as the kettle/jug is lighter to lift than the stainless steel ones. And she likes the boiled egg cooker part.

It works as expected. Easy to clean. The only downfall in my opinion is that doesnt have a blend fuction. The smooth soup function is ok, but the soup is not completely smooth, so you need to use the pulse, which is a bit annoying. If you have a blend function you can leave it to blend without you having to stand there pressing the buttom to make the soup smooth. But overall is a good product. I would recommend.

Really pleased with it but broke after 3 uses and manufacturer not interested. Returned to Amazon and had to pay £12 even though it was broken 😡

My previous soup maker got damaged when I moved and I’ve been looking for one to replace it. This is perfect for me and I love the fact you have different options, such as Chucky or smooth soup, reheat option, steam or boil and juice. The vegetables are cooked well and the soup is hot…. Love it.

No lid

Very good soup maker. Delivers what it promises. I have made some delicious soups with it. Love the brush that comes with it, makes it very easy to clean. Would buy again.
