Perfect fit, perfect support, perfect price and perfect delivery
Perfect fit, perfect support, perfect price and perfect delivery. Arrived the next day in the post, no bulky packaging so fitted through letter box while I was out. I had an acute arthritic flare up in my thumb and this has given me the perfect solution, allowing the pain to settle down. It is so slimline that I can still get my leather gloves on over it, so in this snowy weather we are having I can still keep my hands warm. I can also fit my large size Marigold gloves over it so I continue to get the support I need while doing my housework, avoiding getting the splint wet.The only minor snag was when I took the metal splint out, to wash the material part, I dropped it and then couldn't figure out which way round it had to go back in. It took several uncomfortable attempts to get this right. So next time I wash it I will be more careful and use a permanent marker to identify the correct way up to insert it. Like others I have also found that the metal splint does slip out a bit, so far not too badly. I've found my own solution that doesn't involve any stitching. The hooked Velcro round my wrist was a little bit too long and overlapped the smooth part, so I trimmed it down and placed the piece I cut off as a flap from under the splint where it grips to the Neoprene material and bends round to attach to the smooth Velcro part at the base of the thumb, just above and covering the opening where the metal splint slides out. (see attached photo). Problem solved.

Sturdy and supportive
V. Sturdy. Good material. The velcro is good quality. The wrist strap is all velcro. The spine can be easily removed. Just slides out from the base of the thumb.(sometimes it slides out a tiny bit, but it doesn't affect the support)Size wise.. I bought a medium and find it a little short. My medium size measures Thumb-15 cm from the top(tip. Nail end) to the wrist. 5 cm of that is the velcro width which wraps around the wrist. (and the wrist- 22 cm (bottom, that wraps around the wrist)The velcro strap is 5 cm width. So maybe think of getting a size bigger size. So it sits clear of the hand. It's very supportive. No give.Hope this helps

Seems you do get what you pay for: cheap = poorly made
This one was recommended by my NHS physio, so I bought it. Turned out not to be a good option. I have small hands and the large size only just fit. The Velcro was scratchy and rubbed my skin which made it very sore, I had to put plasters there to stop it rubbing. After only wearing it for a few days the stitching around the material, which keeps the splint in place, started to come undone, so the splint wasn’t staying flush against my thumb/hand and kept sliding down and poking out at the bottom. Honestly, don’t buy this one or perhaps buy one 2 sizes bigger, instead of one, it then it could be too loose.

Does the Job
Bought on the advice of my G.P for my arthritic thumb. It works a treat at stopping my thumb from bending during sleeping. I would definitely recommend this splint for sleeping in -not sure about day to day living as it keeps my thumb rigid. Very glad I bought it & it is holding up well, no wear or tear so far after 3 weeks.

With a but.
The good - used overnight to stablise trigger thumb and it stopped the painful stiffness and the thumb just stayed mostly in the straight position during the day. It was not worn during the day only at night and sitting when hands can naturally get bent. The thumb remained in a straight position with the use of a lollipop stick and sticky tape when tasks called for care and adaption of use of right hand without pain for others. The bad - it was rough on the poorly positioned velcro with it causing blisters to the hand which in turn caught on bed clothing (snapped the cotton sheets) causing me to wake having found the ability to sleep with trigger thumb with the aid of this support. Eventually discovered a cotton hanky tied in place covered the velcro. Appnt due beginning of April at hospital and no chance with COVID but I know the supoort overnight was the factor that got rid of the pain for the duration.

Great support, order a size up
Really good support for your thumb and arrived within 2 daysNot 5 stars because the sizing is off, I have smallish hands for a man and large was quite a bit too small for me, ended up reordering in XL which fits perfect.I'd recommend ordering a size above what you'd think you are.
