I used this for baking in a gas oven and they provide a good alternative to cleaning a baking sheet every time or using baking paper and through that away.

For the last couple of days it has not been the weather for barbecue. When it was I had two of these mats hard at work. Instead of fat dribbling onto the burners and becoming encrusted on the grill it pooled and bubbled on the mats. The meat cooked to spectacular tenderness. The only items that, after cooking on the mats, needed exposure to naked flame were sausages. Although cooked through mine hadn't browned as I liked mine. A couple of 'naked' minutes cured that.The mats also simply wipe clean although I did follow through with a little detergent and a rinse for the sake of hygiene.I did try out a mat in the oven, when cooking scones. I put the mat on a baking tray as I don't like cooking things without whatever they're cooking on having a lip. The mats were fine but I already have some nonstick baking pads. On the other hand, I hadn't put away the mats I had been using for the barbecue when I was cooking a pie in the oven. The crust was browning too quickly so instead of reaching for the kitchen foil I merely covered the pie with one of the mats. It did a perfect job preventing burning.I shall save two mats for the barbeque, one mat as a substitute for a large sheet of silver foil. This leaves me two more. They can be cut to fit size of whatever dishes and trays you choose but this seems a great shame until you're perfectly sure. I'm left wondering how I might make foil parcels from one of these mats. In a month or so, for Sunday lunch in the garden, I anticipate baking a salmon. Could I make a mat parcel for it?To summarise, these are really versatile nonstick mats and I would now not be without them.

I recently purchased a set of 5 BBQ Grill Mats for our charcoal BBQ grill. The mats are made of high-quality material and seem very durable. These mats are very good, they are quite thick and robust. I've used them in my oven and grill pan. The sheets are very easy to cut with scissors or a knife so you can cut them to fit as necessary. The pack contains 5 sheets which unroll flat almost immediately, so if you need to put them away for storage, you can just roill them up. They are double sided which is good because one of the sheets has some damage on it, so I've just used the other side.
