Must Have
This book is a great addition to furniture maker's library. The designes are classic and a delight to peruse and use. It requires a user to have some skill, but that is OK.The introduction or "how to" accomplish certain tasks in the beginning is very useful.

With cutting diagrams its a 5-star book...
Nonetheless an excellent resource. Ruler scales for each drawing make it possible to double check on dimensioning which, if one reviewer is correct in pointing out an error in one of the drawings, sounds like a necessary evil (even downside). I haven't read it thoroughly yet, but other Lang books have numerous typos, so I do not doubt the validity of the reviewer's claim and I appreciate being forewarned. All that said, it is one of the best references for Arts & Craft furniture I have found.

excellent resource
Bob Lang does it again. I have several of his shop drawing books. They require some knowledge of wood working and drafting to use effectively, but they are extremely well explained and IMO easy to use.

Great Book of PLans, But Beware of Errors!
I have both of Robert Lang's books on Craftsman Furniture. They are perhaps the best books of their type that I have seen. I am on my third project from his books and look forward to completing many more. The plans in the books are not for the novice as there is no project-by-project advice or guidance. You must figure-out the cuts and details for yourself. There are 16 pages of general information that is quite helpful to those who know how to apply such information to specific situations.Unfortunately, there are some dimension errors that lead to cutting lumber too short, wasting both time and money. For example, on page 130 there are two errors that cost me dearly. Apparently the book was not reviewed closely enough. Still, I would like to thank Mr. Lang for his books and look forward to his future contributions!

Beware Bob Lang's plans!!!
I'd rather shoot myself in the head than give Bob Lang any more of my money. Bob's plans are so full of inaccuracies that one can not help but think that he has drawn them this way on purpose. Even after several revisions of his books, the inaccuracies persist. One has to wonder- is he trying to teach beginning woodworkers some sort of lesson or is he simply inept? Often, not only are the dimensions wrong, but the joinery used in his plans often makes for a finished item that is substandard. Rails that join into stiles rather than into legs and missing drawings of critical parts are all too common. You would be MUCH better off finding a photo of an item you want to build and drafting plans for the item yourself; you're going to have to re-do any plans you use from his book anyway! Beware of using Bob Lang plans!

Woodcraft antiques
Great and very historic book, can't wait to get busy building some of the furniture shown in this book. Very clear diagrams, explainations, and items were shown in model rooms.
