HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT FOR A CASABLANCA FAN !!!!!
Purchased this fan as an Amazon warehouse item in "used but very good condition". When I unpacked the fan most of the accessory items (including the blades) were in the original manufacturer packaging. The fan appeared not be used!Followed all the instructions and mounted the fan, Big disappointment when the power was turned on. The light worked, However, the ceiling fan blades would not spin when the remote or the wall switch was pressed. The fan hummed from one speed to the next but the blades did not moved.Called Casablanca customer support and explained the situation. The tech stated that all electrical components were integrated meaning there were no replacement parts available. The tech stated they would send a replacement fan after verifying my receipted purchase. Forwarded a copy of the receipt. and Casablanca replied they do not warrant fans sold as used and in very good condition. They recommended returning the fan to Amazon for a refund.Amazon put me through lots of work for a defective fan. However, I learned (2) lessons- I will never buy another Casablanca fan. I will never purchase another electronic component from Amazon Warehouse Deals, because 99% of the time the manufacturer will not honor their warranty- BIG BUMMER!

So far, they don’t work
I bought 2 of these because I liked the look of them and Hunter/Casablanca seemed to be a reputable company. Now after 3 weeks and 2 visits from professional electricians, the fans still aren’t working. At first one wouldn’t respond to its remote. Then it did for a while. Then it didn’t. Then we managed to reset it, and of course now we can’t get the remotes to pair to their individual fans. The originally sporadic remote now always controls both fans. What will it decide to do tomorrow? So far, Casablanca hasn’t helped troubleshoot the problem. I might try to just remove and return the fans before the return deadline runs out. Should I accept the sunken cost for hours of work by professional electricians or hope Casablanca finds a way to get these things to work?
