Works perfectly! I was able to rip both blue Ray and ultra definition movies. I tried several software applications and found Make MKV worked flawlessly with this device. A little pricey than other devices but I’m happy with the overall results.

It's a good drive and does it's job. I didn't realize my PC didn't have a built-in disc drive, so I got this and am satisfied. Would recommend to those needing to use physical discs.

I ordered a blu ray drive to play and also burn bluray DVDs. I had to replace the first shipment because the product did not work. Power was not transmitted through the supplied cord into the device. The replacement was received the following day which would have been great except the replacement has the same problem as the first one received. I chatted with Amazon to initiate the return of nmerchandise two days ago and I still have not received the shipping label. So, I am calling them today to see if I can get this moving forward.

I have never been able to use a Blu-ray disk for anything but entertainment so this is quite the upgrade to my optical drive! I haven't burned any BD disks yet but the DVD burning capabilities are fabulous, so much faster than the older technology. The ability to pass through the USB drives is a nice touch. I especially like that when I'm done with it I can put it away out of sight.
