A classic for all ages
As good as when I first read it forty years ago in Florida. I am now enjoying the books with my eight year old son in Britain!

Faith and Courage
This is the second book in the Chronicles to feature the four Pevensie children, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy, after the most popular of the series, âThe Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.âRevisiting this classic after such a long time, I expected the magic I experienced as a child to have dimmed, but it shone just as bright. The children are on their way to boarding school when they are called back to Narnia. They had reigned as kings and queens of Narnia before, and little did they know that that had been thousands of years ago.The Narnia that they now reenter is no longer a land of talking animals and mythical creatures, as they have all been cast out or decimated by the invading Telmarines, who now rule the land.C.S. Lewis gives very realistic portrayal of the children and their relationships as siblings. They are goodnatured and brave, but they have their usual squabbles and are prone to lapses in courage and are wonderfully imperfect yet admirable as individuals.Reading this novel as an adult, the Christian allusions are a lot more apparent to me, but they are in no way prescriptive or appear to be forcefully fit into the plot.Perhaps, because the story is about the Pevensies, the titular character seems all but absent. Safe for the recount to the children by the brave Red Dwarf, Trumpkin, Caspian appears rather flat and undeveloped as a character in his own right. There seems enough material for Lewis to devote a whole other book to Caspian and his people, much like what he did in âThe Horse and His Boy,â which was set in Calormen in the far reaches of Narnia, expanding the world of the series.Nonetheless, this is but a minor complaint and does not mar my enjoyment of this timeless classic.

Great
As the 4th Book in the Chronicles Of Narnia, this is only the second one to star the 4 Pevensie children. So that's a dissapointment. But all in all, a great storyline. Well done C.S. Lewis for another fabulous addition.

3 stars!
By jove it was so nice to be back in Narnia after the Horse and his Boy almost bored me to tears im happy that book 4 got back on track.Narnia is such a special place, I know people talk about the religious overtones in this series but I'm not seeing them. I see giants, talking lions and how humans whether we mean to or not we ruin every single world we have access too.Solid 3 stars.

PRINCE CASPIAN đ
âPrince Caspianâ is the fourth of the Narnia stories, and probably the second most famous, and sees Narnia in a very different place to when Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy were last there. Human-like Telmarines are in control now. âIt is you Telmarines who silenced the beasts and the trees and the fountains, and who killed and drove away the Dwarfs and Fauns, and are now trying to cover up even the memory of them. The King does not allow them to be spoken of.âPrince Caspian is the rightful heir to the throne, but his Uncle Miraz has put himself in charge and with a newly born son to his name and his successor secured Prince Caspian is in danger of his life so must flee the castle. It is up to him to lead Old Narnia to victory over the Telmarines. But he needs help and with the blow of Susanâs magical horn he can get that as Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy are whisked away back to Narnia from a train station. âThis is better than being on a stuffy train on the way to Latin and French and Algebra.âââââ

Don't buy this Kindle version!
Stay away from this publisher's version of the Narnia series. These books have unacceptable spelling mistakes, missing text, paragraphs out of order, and numerous formatting problems. If I could get my money back for all 7 of these books, I would. Find a different version.(5 stars is for the story, not the Kindle book itself)
