I have the book folio for the Remarkable 2, which I think is great for traveling as it protects the whole device. When around the house, that amount of protection is a bit overkill. That's where this style of case shines. Sure, it doesn't cover the front, but that makes it easier to write without having to open the cover.One downside of the original book folio is that the pen isn't protected. One gently nudge and the pen falls off. With this style, the pen is fully protected. But that is also a reason I am taking a star off - the pen is almost too tightly wedged in the slot, which makes it more difficult to access.Other than that, the materials used, and the extra thought put into the design around the power button leaves little to be desired. Overall, this is a great case when you don't need protection for the front of the device, but desire some insurance against drops.
