Carolina Custom Cages, 48Lx24Wx24H Tall Extra-Long Deep Terrarium; Easy Assembly

I have been searching for about a couple of weeks and this company made it easy to purchase, unlike the other brands who are averaging a turnaround of 4-8 weeks. My bearded dragon just turned 3 and she was coming from a 40-gallon tank that only opened at the top. I also had her on a paper towel or newspaper substrate.I went bioactive and needed a tank that was deep enough to allow for multiple plants and for my bearded dragon to be able to burrow in the substrate. The breathability of this tank is unreal - compared to other brands this doesn't have the vents in front but that doesn't matter. The screen mesh on top of the cage is really large and allows adequate airflow and also prevents insects or other critters from climbing out. Also, I have two UVB strip Lights, a t5 Plant Grow light, a Basking Heat bulb, and a ceramic heat emitter for if it gets too cold at night. With all of these different fixtures and lights, I haven't seen any change in my beardies' behavior. THE SCREEN MESH ISNT FILTERING A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT AND IS DOING ITS JOB WELL SO IT WILL STAY OUTSIDE OF THE TANK. WIth other brands, you may have to place the UVB strips or bulbs inside the tank because the screen mesh filters a good amount of the UVB before it reaches your pet. MY BEARDIE LOVES THIS TANK WAY MORE AND SHE IS ALWAYS MOVING AROUND AND EATING THE PLANTS IF SHE ISNT BASKING. I have nightcrawlers (earthworms), springtails, Dwarf White Isopods, and Powder Orange Isopods in the tank as my clean-up crew and this is all possible because this tank is long, deep, and overall just HUGE lol.Also in case, anyone is wondering the bioactive setup I have is from the Biodude.PROS: 1. Setup is easy, took about 20 minutes2. The package was secure and the company went above and beyond to make sure the glass wasn’t damaged in shipping. They use several different boxes and foam to separate the glass pieces so they don’t crack.3.The mesh screen is perfect and doesn’t affect UVB and other lights sitting on top of it. Your reptile will reap the benefits of whatever light sources you put on top of the mesh. I RECOMMEND A (10.0 UVB NOT A 5.0 )IM USING A 150 WATT BASKING HEAT BULB.4. The company sent me a PDF and gave me instructions on how to contact them in case my order was damaged during shipping5. The company sent me my product really fast and shipping was a breeze.6. The tank is large and deep and is perfect for BIOACTIVE SETUPS7. One Person Can set this tank up but it is required you have help when moving the box that it is shipped in8. Sliding doors to allow for easy access.9. MY bearded dragon is 3 years old and she fits in this perfectly and has enough room to run, borrow, eat and etc.10. The Tank comes with a LOCK key to lock the enclosure and it’s a simple design that works for me.Other people have mentioned the suction cups that the tank comes with often don’t stick well but honestly, I haven’t had an issue with them. They are small and the suction cups function as doors to your sliding doors. You can always by seperate suction cups if it happens to be an issue for you.Cons: NoneI have about 10 plants in my enclosure and she has been nipping at a good portion of them.

Shipped FAST! Ordered LATE Friday night with an expected delivery of Tuesday by 9pm. It arrived Monday at like 8:30am. I was so eager to get home from work and put it togeather when I found out it was already here!Being the 48x24x24 I knew I was in for a large package, but I still underestimated this thing. It’s HEAVY and BIG, you’ll need help to get it inside and move it safely. Unboxing it isn’t to bad, the foam is the worst part of it. You’ll be throwing away a lot of packaging materials. The glass was well protected and I couldn’t find a single scratch or crack.It’s simple enough to put togeather, instructions are easy and clear. You won’t have to worry about a complex installation. The entire cage is well put togeather, if I had to choose one complaint it’s that the handles to the sliding doors are just suction cups, but it’s also a plus because you can remove them for a more clean look and easily re-apply as needed. The lock is a nice feature. I won’t be testing the cages ability to hold water in the bottom portion as I’m planning on putting a Red Ackie Monitor in there, so it will mostly just hold substrate. It’s a good depth so my monitor will be able to dig and tunnel for days!!! In the next year or two I’ll be looking to do a green tree monitor setup. Hopefully Carolina Cusom Cages has a taller terrarium out by then!

We received our 4x2x2 terrarium and couldn't be happier! 1st let me start by saying how well packaged it was. Everything was secure in the shipping box and each piece of glass was individually wrapped. It was easy to assemble, and it is so well made and visually appealing. We bought this for our bearded dragon. Before deciding on a terrarium, I read many reviews and came across Carolina Custom Cages and the reviews across the board were fantastic, so we decided to switch from another well-known manufacturer that we bought for our Leopard Gecko, to this one, and I am glad we did! I am setting it up this weekend and will add pictures once it's finished.

I was really nervous to order something like this on Amazon but it was much cheaper than buying it from the pet store. After reading the reviews, I thought, what the heck. I'm so glad I purchased this, I love it probably just as much as my bearded dragon does!This was an upgrade from my 40 gallon tank. The height of this tank is perfect for a baking spot that prevents it from getting too hot. It came very securely packaged( you will be throwing ALOT of packaging material away) but no cracks or broken pieces.It was pretty easy to assemble, I just wish they had the sliding doors labeled ABCD to easily know which door was which but I eventually figured it out. The sunction cups for the sliding doors dont stay on well but luckily I like it without them. Because of how big it is, you will need 150 to 175 watt lightbulbs to warm up the cage.Overall it's very spacious. I've had this for 3 months now and still holding up wonderfully.Would definitely recommend for any of your reptile or amphibian friends.

Arrived in perfect condition. Assembly was easy, though the directions could use a little more detail. Seemed rickety at first until it was completely assemble and now its rather sturdy. The door lock does not seem to work, though I may have installed the doors incorrectly and don't care to disassemble to find out. Upgraded my beardie from an exo terra 36x18x18, and she seems to like the extra climbing room. I did have to increase my basking bulb watts to account for the increase in room/distance to keep the enclosure warm enough for her. Overall, the quality seems good enough for the price.
