Great and unusual perspective on my hometown
I’ve been a Santa Fe resident for over two years and this book provided me with more insight about my new hometown than virtually any other resource. Filled with fun facts, resources and stories I would never have uncovered. I’ve picked up a few copies for distribution to visitors and friends who decide to move here.

EVERYTHING is in here!
I have lived in Santa Fe for 23 years and love it here. John Self's book was a revelation -- there's much good advice and curated recommendations for things and places I do know, but all the hidden treasures that make the book so delightful and useful. And the book contains wonderful facts about Santa Fe's history and its many famous (and infamous) inhabitants. Self is witty, warm and preternaturally informed. A great book for Santa Fe residents, visitors, and aspirant visitors and residents -- in other words, just about everybody.

A Fun Book Whether You Live Here Or Are Visiting
This is a fun book that instructs even those who live her about our history, humor and quirks. A compendium, it's best read a chapter at a time--and you can learn a lot. If you're a visitor, this is a great way to learn about the place. If you live here, you'll find surprises in every chapter.
