5% Retinol (lipid encapsulated) & Stem Cell Overnight Serum – Lifts, Smooths, and Restores Radiance (50ml)

I've been using this serum for a couple of months now and it has made a difference to my skin.Dry blotchy patches on my cheeks and under chin have faded down.My skin is smoother and more even.I absolutely love the Wisely/White silk products which are Korean.I find Korean skincare superior to a lot of stuff in stores in the UK.Everything I've used from this brand has made a beneficial difference to my skin.This is a nice lightweight serum for overnight application.The box is different to the actual product for whatever reason, but the listing headline clearly states this.

The serum is good itself, but as other reviews have explained, the packaging doesn't seem completely appropriate for the product itself, and could do with some work. The serum goes a long way as it’s pretty thin, and it's easily absorbed. It seems to be gentle on the skin, even on sensitive skin. It leaves the skin looking glowy, and appears to reduce blemishes and lines.

PresentationThe WHITESILK & Wisely RETINOL-Cica was delivered in a branded cardboard box, inside the box was a glass tub with a pump action cap at the top.First ImpressionsTaking the tub from the box I tested a small amount of the serum on my cheek – after around an hour there were no ill effects so I presumed it would be OK to treat the intended area on a regular basis. When using the pump the serum does come out quite rapidly so be ready to pump to the area intended or to a hand/fingers when using the pump. The serum is quite thin and runny, not like a cream and thus it is ejected with some force, be careful therefore if applying directly to the face, that you don’t get this in your eyes.Day To Day UseI proceeded to use the serum on an area of my forehead, where the skin is dry and a bit blotchy and on occasion a little itchy too. The serum as stated is thin but that viscosity allows it to soak in quickly, when it has soaked in there is a slight but noticeable tightness in the skin of the forehead. Over the course of this past month or so the forehead looks much better, the dry, flaky skin had now gone and the blotchy area – whilst still present – is now subdued to being only slightly blemished and not at all itchy.Summing UpI have tried a fair number of creams and serums but this is the first that has made a noticeable impact on my forehead, as such I have to say that I would reuse it. However every persons skin reacts differently and I can only relate that my experience was good, your own mileage may vary.

I don't know if it's normal practise in other countries to not provide the full ingredients list, but the listing only provides active ingredients, not the full list. If you have an allergy or something you obviously need to see the full ingredients list so i think it should always be included on the packaging and listing, and be easy to access. This is not the case here which makes me slightly wary to use the product. I did use it however and had no ill effects like burning etc. The serum is lightweight and you don't need to use much. I like using it on an evening a few times a week as it contains a high concentration of retinol. I like the use of cica too as it provides soothing benefits to the skin. Overall I like the product but they need to be more consistent with the labelling, ingredients list, and overall transparency of the brand as this is very off-putting to customers.

I have noticed this same problem with other Whitesilk products. Essentially two companies appear to have either collaborated on the product or one sells their product for rebranding, that is all.As for the product itself, I have noticed an improvement in the texture of my skin. It is not as inflamed as it was from the whiteheads and blackheads, this means I have fewer problems with hyperpigmentation too which I am thrilled about!My skin doesn’t typically respond well to niacinamide so I was not hopeful that I would see the benefits of this but I was happy to be proven wrong. I will be reordering when it is finished.

I found the serum to be a bit loose in texture, but it feels nice after application. I can't comment on the results just yet, but so far, it seems like a promising product.There was a difference in packaging but the product was correct.
