Reference to the military specifications I assumed it was military surplus. On delivery it is evident it is supermarket. From the finish on the blade, spurs were on each indicating the hardness and finish were not military spec. I do question the durability based on this assessment. Time trials will refute or confirm that asses. I just hope the finding is not revealed in a survival scenario.

Don't stock pile, make a survival kit, or EDC some E.Prep. gear without a couple of these.
For shelf life that even includes surviving bad conditions, you can't argue against the fact that canned goods are the best when it comes to long term storage emergency rations. Between this fact, their ability to be stored in a space efficient manner, and their common availability, in a good amount of extended emergency situations you will have to open a can. That's where this product comes in. It works better than the can opener on a multitool, small enough to stash anywhere capable of accommodating a quarter or two, made of stainless that is very resistant to rusting, and is still durable enough to be use repeatedly while finding other uses for it (like using a a bottle opener, scraper, very small pry bar, or screw driver). I keep one of the two I got in my small coin bag I always carry and the other in my crash bag.

Yep.
Not much to review. They are what I thought they were. Good effective emergency can openers. Small and lightweight. Twenty!

Cheap Knockoff of the real thing.
These are not hardened like the true issue item. Great for nostalgia but not for actual use. Go and get ones made of harder metal. They should also have US stamped clearly on them and not haphazardly.Careful, these might open up on the hinge in your pocket too!

Bad quality and unhygienic. Single use only
I used the canopener once and after washing it once, after a few days it had completely rusted. It can no longer be used, as the rust would get into the food. Even for this low price, the quality is unacceptable. On the picture you can see one unused specimen, and one that has been used one single time.

It opens cans for a few minutes, but the metal is too soft to be effective.
I used both can openers to open about 5 cans in total. The first can I opened with each can opener was quick and easy, but it appeared that 1 can was enough to blunt the blade. After 2 cans these no longer grip or open the can properly, damaging safety and effectiveness of the tool. When I can get original P51s again, I will stock up on them, these are not a suitable substitute.

You can’t go wrong with these , light and easy to use.
I like everything about these , I bought two in case I lose or misplace one , but I needed one for my trips as I used them as a kid in our kitchen ( the 70ts eh - lol ) and knew how versatile they are .Perfect for camping as they take up no room and add no weight , what not to like about this awesome little can opener / bottle opener ?Seriously you cannot as a camper or as a back up in the kitchen go wrong with these .HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Forgot I baught thease
Err two words... ringpull cans..They work well they really do I pop an alasticBan around the pointy bit to stop it sticking in my leg when in pocket as the opener bit swivels handy but not often used as ring pull cans are pretty much everywhere nowadays

Can openers
I had originally given these can openers a great review but they both broke after a couple of uses not worth the hassle to return either. Very poor quality would certainly not recommend from this seller.
