Good replacement charger for dewalt batteries. Does the job. Works well.

This charger for Dewalt 12V-20V lithium ion batteries seems to work OK - I have so far charged up the 2 batteries I have. So, no problem with the operation. My criticism is that the labeling is not sufficient and in fact I believe the labeling is unacceptable. Nowhere is it labeled that this is intended for Dewalt batteries. The sticker on the front that is supposed to show the legend on how to interpret the LEDs for charge level is very confusing. You really need to look at the picture from the Amazon web site to understand this. It should not be difficult to put a reasonable understandable sticker to understand on the charger. Further, the small instruction booklet that came with this charger is flat out inaccurate. It is written as if this is a battery and not a charger. This is an electrical device so for safety reasons it should be labeled clearly and correctly. Therefore, I only give this a 3 star overall rating.

Our Dewalt battery charger had just messed up.Came across this one.I gave this a try.It actually works great.The indicator light spot on.Charged my Dewalt battery and I was ready to go.I was so stressed because we didn't to use our drill gun for so many jobs.This high-quality heavy duty yet lightweight saved time and our problem.Easy to use and easy to store. Yeah I could give you all this schematics, but they have that on their site. Pros:- can charge 12V or 20V- easy to read/use- pretty darn reasonable priceCons:- this thing is really pretty bigI might be spoiled by a couple other third-party DeWalt battery chargers I have, but comparatively, this thing is huge and heavy. Unfortunately I lost my original DeWalt charger so I can't compare, but I think it's actually bigger than the one that came with my 20V drill pack.There are so many options for really small ones that I feel like it has to lose a star for the bulk, but it works well and again, it's great that it fits both 12V and 20V on the same unit. Nice buy, as long you're not hauling it around all over the place.

perfect as a backup or replacement - I keep the original at home and this unit in my truck.
