Premium build quality
Yes, it is indeed pricier compared to the cheaper alternatives, but the CNC alloy construction truly provides a sleek and modern look. I like every bit of the design.

Very High Quality
At first it was horrible, everything was tight and I couldn't move it, but now it just lets me be free and move it around as much as I could dream. the compact form factor is great for transportation and it is super super high quality. Besides the terrible out of the box feel, with time this has become one of the best purchases I have made in recent times

Great For Specific Use Cases, Too Stiff for Folding
Firstly, this thing is pretty. It's all machined metal and it looks amazing. Secondly, this thing is good at staying in one spot and holding your mic up. In fact, it's TOO good at staying in one spot. The review that mentions "it sags" must be talking about a completely different product (or they never even opened the box) because that just isn't true of this product AT ALL. I clocked the force required to move the lever at almost 40-50 lbs , which means you need to provide 40-50 lbs opposing force too and... that's a lot for folks who aren't body builders.I got it because I thought I would like to be able to collapse the stand between recording sessions, but in reality, I can't actually collapse it without enough force to move my entire desk around. My wife is unable to collapse it or extend it once it's collapsed without using her legs and leverage to do so.So.... if you intend to use this for a fixed-position mount for which you might also want to rotate the base, this is a great piece of kit for you. If you intend to collapse it after each session, forget it. Marketing can say "tolerances and optimized tension" and all sorts of other things, but when it comes down to it, this thing doesn't fold and unfold without enormous amounts of leverage.

Mighty Fine Boom Arm
I like this desktop boom arm a lot better than previous ones we've had because It has a lot more flexibility as to placement. I dig that it can be low profile when needed or a more traditional lower-the-boom mount if needed. It's very accommodating for creatives who do more than one thing using the same gear. I do, however, find it quite silly that they call including five cable ties in the package a cable management system. Still, the boom arm itself is nice and flexible.

GREAT looking mic stand
This stand is incredibly good looking compared to the many other stands I have tried. I just love the machined aluminum look: very premium looking indeed. I also love that it folds up so tightly. When you aren't using your mic, it folds up very very small taking up very little space and helping to make your workspace look a bit less cluttered. On the other hand, this thing is STIFF. It really takes a lot of effort to fold and unfold the arms. This is nice because your mic stays put once you get it where you want it, but not so nice since it takes so much effort to fold it back up again (seriously: my desk lifts off the ground a bit under the tension of these arms). I am sure with time it will loosen up, but it is something to consider. Finally, my only real gripe is the length. Another couple of inches on each arm would have been ideal: the bottom arm that attaches to the base has a very small range of movement so it doesn't extend much beyond being vertical, so your options are limited in terms of how far you can extend this. It works for my desk, but it's definitely shorter than all of the other booms I have tried and should be taken into consideration. All in all, I think it's a really really great looking mic stand. Has a few issues as mentioned, but overall I am quite happy with it.

Too stiff to move
While this desktop boom stand securely holds a microphone in place, adjusting it is quite challenging. Despite hoping it would loosen up over time, it has remained extremely stiff. For those who can set their mic in a fixed position, this stand might suffice. However, for someone like me who needs to frequently reposition the mic in and out of the camera's view, it proves too rigid. Unfortunately, I bought two of them and they both operate the same.

Nice
Good quality and a bit heavy. Easy to setup and works well.

GORGEOUS but hard for me to move.
This boom arm is absolutely STUNNING! It looks so good, and appears very expensive. I love the minimalistic design, which compliments my PC setup nicely. However, one of the things I don't like about this, is that it's VERY hard for me to move around. I am a woman and must use all my strength to get this to budge. Some of the joints are so tight I can't even move them without taking it off and using my legs for leverage! The only other thing I don't like about this, is that I don't think this will be a "buy it for life" type of product, because there is no way to tighten the joints if they get loose with time. Most boom arms have knobs you can use to tighten the joints, this, has nothing. The caps on the aluminum joints are completely smooth with no way to tighten them.Other than that, this is gorgeous and very impressive looking. And it does hold my mic VERY firmly and I don't have to worry about sagging, for now.
