I don't write a lot of reviews, but I am so impressed with the simple, easy fit of these skirts (I now have 5) that I wanted to recommend them. I bike commute to work, and in the summer I am looking for something lightweight and easy to put on when I get to the office. I also tend to run warm - especially in the summer - so jeans, capris, shorts can some times still feel too hot. Love, love, LOVE that these skirts can be dressed up or dressed down. The fabric is my favorite lightweight microfiber poly that is perfect summer weight and is super easy to wear. I have also worn these skirts stand-up paddle boarding (they are even more quick drying than my boardshorts or swimwear). If I was still surfing, I'd probably wear them for that as well. The adjustable waistband is fantastic - simple velcro, two spots to adjust. I ordered the XL, and there is plenty of room. Excellent quality. I tend to wear this higher on the waist, and it is quite flattering. Love all of the colors - particularly the ones that are the more solid/simpler patterns as they pull double duty for me as being able to be worn to work. Highly recommended!

My skirt arrived today and I was disappointed because the background color of the Botanical print is more tan versus white. From the Amazon photos and the RipSkirt website, they all looked white...I am going to ask the folks at Ripskirt about what the true color should be. It does not look like the bright vibrant print that I was expecting for summer.…..and am not able to wear it with a white tee shirt as expected.The size is as expected, I have three of these skirts already in all lengths and really enjoy them for vacation and after my water aerobics classes.

I LOVE my Ripskirt so much that I ordered another one! Great quality and dries quickly for those beach and boating activities. I love this length as it covers your backside with ease! Easy on with the Velcro fasteners! Beautiful fabric in an array of colors! Think I’ll order a couple more!

I love the fabric and fit of this easy summer wrap skirt. Great as a swimsuit coverup but can also be worn all day long away from the pool. But the pocket is so tiny you could not even fit one credit card in it - so you might as well consider this skirt does not have any pocket- and that is a disappointment. A nice deep side seam pocket on both sides would be a very welcome addition! The lack of pocket and relatively high cost for this simple skirt is why I did not give it 5 stars. Also just a note - while the Amazon purchase provides free returns - if you go looking at the RipSkirt website for more styles, sizes or colors beware that the return shipping is NOT free when ordering direct. I made that mistake once.

This is amazingly cool. I recently met up with my sisters in Vegas for a birthday weekend and wanted something for the very snazzy hotel pool complex. Trouble is I'm getting older and have lost a fair bit of weight leading to some serious thigh slump. I didn't really want to wear my very practical pool unitard or my more-than-a-little-frumpy mom swim skirt. When I found a ridiculously cute swimsuit at Torrid (I like to call it my "Plus Size Riviera Barbie Suit") it was almost perfect; the "almost" being that the very supportive fabric cut me off at the thigh and made it look like my thighs were melting. Enter the RipSkirt. I threw it on over my cute suit whenever I wasn't in the pool and felt perfectly comfortable walking around the pool complex and lounging in the cabana without having to wear a heavy coverup or a sopping wet swim skirt.My (more normal sized) sister loves to surf and swim and wanted one for just straight up going out after playing in the water. I anticipate using it with more practical suits for driving to the lake or pool (driving in just a swimsuit always feels too weird for me) and wearing as a coverup on the pool deck or while kayaking. We have a really casual and open Oru Kayak and while I don't really want to swim in the lake, I inevitably get a little damp while paddling. I can wear this over just plain swim bottoms and add a tank with built in bra and be good for the whole day - even if we grab some food afterwards. This with a longer swim top (or just a bikini top if that's how you roll) can make hanging out in a lawn chair, running to the bathroom, walking back the car or bus, and generally getting around just a little more comfortableThe fabric really is quick dry and I love the little bit of stretch to it. It's a sporty, athletic type cloth and attaches with two generous velcro tabs, allowing some flexibility with fit. Personally, I'm *way* bigger in the hip than the waist (4-6 sizes worth) and was easily able to make it work. It hung a little crooked, but that's to be expected with my proportions and it didn't really bother me. It never fell off and was really comfortable. If I ever move back to the tropics, I would wear this and a light tank over a two piece every single day of the year. Suits with built in swim skirts might just be a thing of the past.

I purchased the medium because I wanted the little extra length. I wasn't sure I would be comfortable in a small. I wear size 8 in pants. In better clothing I can fit into a 6. I am about 5ft 71/2". I have about a 31 waist. (I know I am working on it) and have long legs. The skirt was the perfect length. I did try on the SHORTER version because my Sister ordered it in a medium. It was very short on me. She is 5 ft 5" an it was too short for herbecause her hips took up the length. It was just a bit large in the waist for me. The skirt offers a generous length of velcro to accommodate for waist sizes. I am good with sewing so I just moved the velcro. I just love the skirts. I also purchased the Paisley Blush. The skirts were perfect for a trip to the Galapagos. I was able to hike in them. They do wrap around very well. Generous amount of material. No problems with them splitting open. Used them over a suit when we went snorkeling and also for dinners on the ship. Just dressed them up with a nice top and scarf. I like to travel light and with clothes that won't wrinkle too much. The fabric met my travel standards. Around town they arewonderful. I am a swimmer. The skirts are so easy to throw on over my suit. Also look great for errands after. Looking forward to my next trip. These will surely be packed on my next trip.

As many others have indicated, this skirt really is your perfect beach/vacation/cruise skirt. It is sleek and simple, and its wraparound style serves a variation in sizing. I'm a size US8, and the medium fit me really well. I love how it doesn't wrinkle in your suitcase. Its material is kind of like 'board short' material, so it dries really quickly. I hesitated because it's on the expensive side, but once this RipSkirt was in my wardrobe, I didn't regret buying it for a second. I'll be looking at other colours for upcoming vacations (I just bought it in plain black).

Love it! It fits well and is just the right length, falling just above the knee. There is also enough wraparound so you don’t have to worry that it will fall open and be too revealing. It washes and dries easily, doesn’t wrinkle and folds up very small, so it’s perfect for travel. I also wear it cycling over those unflattering biking shorts. Just make sure you close the Velcro tabs when you throw it in the washer or everything will stick to it. Really, this is a perfect, multifunctional little skirt.

Nothing special. Nice as a skirt over swimsuit. not sure if the cost is worth it.

I just know I’ll get lots of use from this skirt. The material is a good weight and the Velcro is very secure. I wear a size 8 in a skirt. 5’9” tall and I got a size small. The length is perfect. Not too short or too long. Just a few inches above my knee. I’ll wear this instead of shorts. I got the black batik pattern length 2.
