Once I saw this, I knew I needed to get one.Anyone who has used a multimeter has almost certainly at some time wished they had an extra hand. There are two probes that you need to connect to the appropriate contacts. This often leaves no hands for holding the multimeter itself. This isn't a problem if you're working on a table or near the ground, but once you're on a ladder or anyplace with awkward positioning, trying to balance the multimeter body while operating both probes can be tricky. The last thing I want is to drop an expensive meter that I need to finish the project I’m working on!Magnetic Multimeter Strap to the rescue. It's such a simple idea, but sometimes simple ideas are the most useful. Using this strap I can attach my meter to any magnetic surface or use the hook and loop strap to wrap it around any convenient pipe or knob. With the meter securely hanging, both of my hands are free to handle the probes.I don't have one of the meter brands which this strap was designed for so it took a little creativity to get it connected to my meter. It’s no fault of the strap. My cheap meter simply lacks the strap connection point that the fancy meters have. That said, once I found a way to hook it on, it works great even on my cheap multimeter.Not sure what else to say -- it increases the functionality of my meter and makes accidental drops much less likely – all for an insanely small price. It's really a no-brainer for anyone who uses their multimeter on the go.Now I'm just trying to figure out what other tools I can hook to one of these straps! I wish it had a clip like the authentic Fluke strap, but simple strap works.It is useful for my work. I use it to hang multimeter on the unit. The magnet is very strong.
