Whiteside Leigh Bit Set
As normal my item was ordered thru Amazon and my items arrived on time, well packaged, and in perfect condition. These bits were ordered to replace the old bits for my D4 Leigh jig. An inspection of these bits revealed a company that pays attention to details. One of the problems with buying aftermarket bits for a Leigh is the length of the shank and most of the other aftermarket bits shanks are to short. These bits out of the box also have shown that they also cut slighly better than the originals and Leigh's bits are extremely good. If this helps, I normally work with quarter sawn white oak for most of my projects and these bits work great.

Not in a case - they come in a plastic bag!
Not in a case as pictured - they come in a plastic bag - Love the bits not the deception.

Does Not Meet All Leigh Bit Specs
These are Whiteside bits, so the quality of the carbide and the machining is excellent, as I’ve come to expect from my many Whiteside bits. (Love their compression bits.). But the bits in this set are not full relacements for comparable Leigh bits. The Whiteside bits do not have the same depth,of cut as the Leigh bits with the same angle and diameter of cut. For example, the Whiteside D8-437X8 In this set has a max cuttting depth of 5/8”. The Leigh 80 bit it is intended to replace has a max cutting depth on 13/16. That 3/16 shorter cutting depth can make a large difference. I found out this difference after cutting the pins on the sides of three boxes using 3/4 material. The Whiteside dovetail bit couldn’t make a sufficiently deep cut. Had to order another Leigh 80 bit. The product description doesn’t indicate this important difference.

Excellent cutters.
Well, these are by far the best dovetail bits I have used. I don't have much experience outside of cheapo dovetail bits, but these seem to actually be worth their fairly high price.

Know what your getting
This is a great set, but you need to understand what you are getting. This set DOES NOT include a #80 dovetail bit, which is the bit that comes with the jigs. It comes with a #75 bit, which people are confusing with an #80, and think it dosent match. If you want a Whiteside #80 bit you want a D8-500X8 (which is not in the set). This set comes with the Leigh equivalent of #75 and #90 through bits, #120 and #128 half blind bits, and #140 and #160 straight bits.I haven't used all the bits yet, but the ones I have used worked very well with no tearout. I am using an older D4 jig.

Not True! Waste of Money
Misleading and Inadquate. The bits are shorter than the Leigh bits and are inferior in every way.
