Squooshi Filling Station + G. O. 8 Pack

I ordered some about 2 years ago and loved them so I decided to order more since they came with what seemed to be a pretty easy to use plunger system. Well, first off the new ones are pretty flimsy compared to the old ones and won't stay open. I cleaned them in the dishwasher together and the old ones that look like they are made with thicker material stayed upright where as the newer ones folded and flew around the dishwasher. When they came out my old ones were dry because they maintained their open position but the new ones were still soaked and flat. I then decided to place them on the drying rack and after 8 hours of air drying they were still wet because again, they will not stay open. I'm very worried about mold growth in the newer version whereas I never worried about that in the old ones. Also, the new lids screw on and seal only once. To open them you must break the seal and thereafter you have plastic hanging off the edges. I'm not sure why they changed the pouches. The originals were amazing but these are not. Also, my plunger came out of the box with a tear in the silicone. I will be returning and looking for a better replacement because I loved that these were reuseable.Update: I have now had these pouches for 2 weeks and have gotten use to them. While they are not the old pouches, I have added 2 stars from my original review because of the AMAZING customer service I have received. The company reached out to me to make sure that I was pleased with my purchase and after explaining to them my issues, they tried their best to resolve the issues. While they no longer make the metallic lined pouches they were quick to mail me the original lids and even enclosed 4 free pouches.To resolve the cleaning issues I have had, I no longer put them in the dishwasher unless I feel that they need sterilized. Hand washing works well and I just have to be sure to prop them up against something on the drying rack so that they stay upright. This way, they do dry well eventually but it does take most of the day. Regardless of my issues, it is still worth it to have the reusable pouches and not have to buy the expensive ones only to toss them out.

I'm in love. Seriously. I discovered store-bought food pouches and love them. My daughter can feed herself, and it's much less messy! I just hated the price. Enter this great product.The pouches are a great size for my now 11 month old, but she's been using them for a while now. If she doesn't finish, into the fridge it goes for later. She handles the shape well. I don't find I need to set them up on end, so the zipper on the bottom is fine. I love the "fill station." It's so much easier than spoons and funnels. It cleans up fast. There's usually some left in the bottom that doesn't squish out, so I spoon feed that to baby quickly.The ONLY thing I wish was different is that I can't easily see if I'm getting the pouches clean. Don't get me wrong, I'm fairly confident they clean quite well using a bottle brush. I just wish they were translucent, still colored even, to see the inside edges. I just give them a good soaking and brushing and haven't had issues. This is the only reason I took off a star.These pouches and filling station have made my life so much easier! I can make my daughter's food quickly and easily. I use an immersion blender directly in the filling station, then move right on to filling pouches. It takes minutes. One pouch in the fridge and the rest into the freezer. They freeze and thaw wonderfully. I've been using them for 1.5 months with no leaks, funny smells, or other issues. I've lost a few caps, but the store-bought caps fit... so don't throw them away!Edit 9/30/16: I gave the star I docked back. If the food is dark enough, I can see it and clean it. But these pouches are just too useful to not give 5 stars. They have survived biting, dropping and throwing. I use 2-3 EVERY day.

Love love LOVE this filling station! I used he squooshi's with my first kid and didn't have a filling station. It was always messy and I constantly overfilled and spilled or couldn't seal the bottom once full. I just made a batch of food and I had very little spilling and was able to completely fill each squooshi! My only feedback would be to ask for a valve switch that could open and close before you take the squooshi off as food squishes out as you take the little cover off and put it back on.

Great product with a few slight annoyances. The press isn't tight enough, and whatever your squeezing into the pouches will bubble up from under the plunger and get all over the top of it. I have to clean off the top of the plunger and re-squeeze the excess that escaped. I have found that covering the plunger with a plastic bag or Saran Wrap helps. Also, the zippers on the bottom of the pouches is EXTREMELY difficult to open when you first buy them. After multiple washings they have loosened up a little bit but I ripped one already trying to get it open to clean it. Make sure your hands and the pouch are completely dry before attempting to open them. Other then that these are great! I fill them with yogurt and pudding for my daughters lunches and for in her diaper bag when we're out shopping. Since these don't require spoons, she can eat them in the car. They're easy to clean with soap and water and a little bottle brush. If you place them in the dishwasher, open the bottoms, place over the rack, then put a cup over the top of them to keep them in place.
