Kinvara reborn
These have /exactly/ the same midsole and outsole as the Kinvara 13, which was a popular running shoe from a few years back that Saucony sold for $120. The only thing that changed for the convergence is the upper. I was a bit concerned that the upper fit would feel narrower, but in fact it feels more comfortable. It is simple and not over-engineered. I like that everything on the upper is slightly cusioned- it makes it easier to get a comfortable tension on the laces.Overall, the Convergence (which is the Kinvara 13) is a great semi-minimalist running shoe. If you're used to running in shoes that have a high heel to toe drop (like Brooks Ghost) or a rocker (like Hokas) you will find that these put a lot more stress on your calves. Don't be too discouraged by this- those other shoes I mentioned are specifically engineered to reduce calf strain! These provide a lot more cushioning and support than truly minimalist running shoes (or a pair of Converse). I can run comfortably in them, but I started out running in shoes similar to this during the early 2010s. Even so, I wanted something that was a little easier on my calves, so I switch off between these and a pair of Brooks Levitate (which are more structured and less flexible).I think these are great shoes for walking, in part because they don't have a super elevated heel or a ton of cushioning. They're also better for the gym than super cushioned shoes. But I mostly wear them to run.The outsole rubber is only in a few places, so these will wear out more than other shoes. But they're also not as expensive as most running shoes, so it is still a good value.

Un poco incómodas en la zona del arco
En la zona del arco son un poco duras, por lo cuál caminar mucho o tenerlas durante mucho tiempo en el día me causan dolor en el pie y hasta de postura, no son la tennis correctas para mí

Not for Cross Country
Bought these on July 23, and both shoes had ripped great big holes by Sept 14. They lasted less than 2 months. Literally no other kid on the CC team had ripped through a pair of shoes in less than 2 months. Just my kid, because I bought these shoes for him. They weren't cheap or inexpensive and this brand comes highly recommended for runners.
