An Hour Before It's Dark: Live in PZ 2023

Returning after an absence of 4 years [because of COVID] to their favorite location [or second favorite, after Montreal], the band gets to do their album An Hour Before It's Dark in full plus a bunch of extras.The release clocks in at about 105 minutes.It is also available on CD, DVD and Blu-ray. The band's website has an extra disc for the DVD and Blu-ray releases with footage from another night.Excellent sounding.

J'ai vu Marillion l'année dernière à Anvers pour cette même tournée. C'était donc l'occasion d'en avoir un chouette souvenir.L'album est excellent et ce concert lui fait la part belle. Les musiciens sont à leur sommet et les images sont superbes. J'aurais juste préféré que la voix de H soit mixée un peu plus en avant (sur le 5.1 en tous cas).

Es gibt nur wenige Bands, die über einen vergleichbar langen Zeitraum Studio- wie auch Liveproduktionen auf derart hohem Niveau abliefern. Ein weiterer Edelstein in meiner Sammlung.

Questo disco contiene l'esecuzione dal vivo per intero dell'ultimo lavoro della band, One hour before it's dark, più alcuni classici. Qualcuno si chiederà "Dov'è la novità?". La risposta è semplice. Oltre ai cinque membri della band troviamo il percussionista portoghese Luis Jardim (che vanta collaborazioni con i più grandi artisti internazionali, uno per tutti Paul McCartney) ed il quartetto d'archi In praise of folly. I brani risultano quindi arricchiti nel suono e nel pathos regalandoci una performance indimenticabile. Da avere assolutamente.

Ein hervorragender Auftritt, bei dem das komplette "An Hour before it's Dark"-Album plus einiger Zugaben gespielt wurde.Bild und Ton sind exzellent (die Gitarre!!!), und an einigen Stellen kommen einem vor Ergriffenheit fast die Tränen!Ein klare Kaufempfehlung.
